Paramount 3DPLA (Black Cherry) 1.75mm 1kg Filament [WMRL3005490C]

I like how strong this filament is. The color can be described as wine or cranberry red. Looks great paired together with black filament in your 3d prints.Definitely will be buying this same PLA filament brand in different colors. I have tried out 10 different PLA filaments total so far at the time of writing of this review and I'm very satisfied with this product.I currently use it for prints that require strong parts or as a highlight when I want to use a dark red color for contrast. I reprinted all my filament clips in this PLA material because it holds them in place so well while other PLA clips I printed before have stretched and don't hold tightly anymore.Most very dark PLA filaments like this color, tend to be "see through" when printed very thin. I used this property to print a very thin(0.75 milimeter) screen dimmer for my super bright 3D printer's screen. Most people don't print this thin so they would likely not notice this mild but useful translucent quality that can be noticed when holding up a graded 3D print color swatch up to the light. When I print normal parts with this specific filament they are not see through though; they look as opaque as any other filament unless printing ultra thin.

Wasn't the standard sized spool roll. Had to transfer it to another spool it so it would fit in the (Bambu) AMS unit.won't be buying from this supplier again.

I am in love with this filament. The color is gorgeous. I wasn’t expecting the slight transparent quality, but I think that just adds to how beautiful it is.I was a bit worried when I went to print with it, because I checked the reviews to see if people mentioned what temperature/settings they used, as the temperature range on the box/spool seemed extremely narrow/low (190-210). I tried my first print (pictured - the stactocat version of the stackable calibration cat from thingiverse) at 210°, 30mm/s speed (I think), .02 layer height, .4 copper nozzle, bed temp 60°. I had no trouble with first layer adhesion, but I generally don’t - I have an Anycubic Mega Pro which has a textured glass bed which has the best adhesion I’ve ever encountered. (The printer has some other issues, but the bed is definitely amazing).This is definitely a very small model though, so I’ll be doing some more test prints before I move up to something big. Next will likely be a benchy, and then I may go through some calibration test prints to dial in temperature/speed/retraction settings, but from my initial print, I don’t think I’m going to have to adjust much.

I was a little hesitant in purchasing this filament after some of the reviews complained about the color. However, my wife saw the photos and we went for it. So glad we did. The layer adhesion is spot on and the color was exactly what we were looking for. 90% of what we print is used in either interior design projects or home automation devices that will be seen so print color and quality are very important to us. This filament met all our criteria.

I love this color of deep maroon/burgundy type red. However with the same articulating objects I noticed this filament would break legs or parts off easier vs my Hatchbox black. Overall I love the color enough to buy again and will simply not use it for most structural parts.

Needed a 'black cherry' / 'merlot' colored filament, found Paramount3d's awesome selection of colors and decided to give it a try. I was a little hesitant not having seen their name before but when the filament arrived any worries I had quickly faded. The product is packed well for shipping, sealed well against any contamination, and the spools are always wound perfectly. I Have not had a single issue with any of the rolls I've purchased (probably around 5-6 at this time maybe more) and will be going over their catalogue of colors to find some new favorites. Highly recommend.

Poor adhesion to other pla. Caused jams in my ender 3, causing prints to fail or decrease extrusion half way through prints.
