Good, solid, powered hub...oh, and it has some peripherals too.
I bought 3 of these for different projects. Mostly as powered hubs, and not so much for the peripherals. One project has the Enet port dedicated to one other device with a short crossover, and the other 2 use the audio output. Otherwise, the primary purpose is to be a powered hub.One of them connects multiple USB hard drives to one Raspberry Pi, and another connects a USB touchscreen monitor to another Raspberry Pi. The USB hard drives don't have another power source; and the screen refuses to use its own power source, and resets the Pi instead if connected directly. My original idea was to use the VGA output to drive a CRT monitor that I already had, from the Pi, but it turns out that this particular VGA chip *only* works with Windows. It's not standards-compliant, which means that the universal driver in Linux can't use it like it can anything else, and the manufacturer has only written a replacement driver for Windows.Even on Windows though, don't expect too much, as it has to share the limited bandwidth of a single USB2 port with the Enet adapter, mic and headphones, and whatever you've plugged into the other ports. Even a video feed all by itself is a strain for USB2. It'll do mostly-static images okay, like word processing or text-and-image-based web surfing, but that's about it. Don't expect it to play YouTube full-screen in 1080p60, while also using its Enet port to retreive that data.I wasn't expecting much; mostly an administrative terminal for a NAS that might also gain some auxiliary functions as a result of being a full PC that is always on and powered entirely from this hub except for the CRT, but this non-standard reinvention of a wheel that didn't need reinventing, killed that idea. So the VGA output has never been used on any of them, except to figure out what was wrong with it.

Need to connect a second or third LCD this is what you want.
I purchased this for work so I could connect a third LCD. It worked so well I purchased another for home. It is very easy to setup. Works perfect.Once you have a extra Monitor, you can never go back. It is great to be able to watch a movie on one screen and surf the net on the other.Great product, easy to install...I recommend it..It is much cheaper than another video card.

Drivers are super slow/outdated, and a huge system resource hog
Drivers are super slow/outdated, and a huge system resource hog, causing noticeable system lag. A number of other more modern solutions.

In short I love the powered USB hub part - and that it has video.
What's not to love? It's an extension to your computer right? ... well yes and no.I thought I really could use this, as a way to have two monitors on my laptop, easier than using the side VGA port.Well the video does work, but it changes Windows 7, to basic - which is flat - I like transparent, it also took over the audio - but I already use a KVM with audio and those settings don't work so well through this, also because I had my external monitor hooked through my laptop VGA port, the same monitor hooked through this instead appears as a 3rd monitor - even though not hooked up at the same time - and that was chaos. So -- I'm using it as a powered USB hub - occasionally and will probably find some other use for it.Would be best if used as a docking station for a laptop without a VGA out and where you don't care that it's going to change from Windows 7 transparency etc, to Windows Basic.Good design, solid little device - just didn't fit my need as well as I expected.

look like plastic espanding
resolution of VGA port isn't convinient for a HDTV and video of windows media player and media center doesn't work.Plastic case make some noise sometime : look like plastic espanding.Others features work great.
