Guatamla-San Marcos. Excellent single origin coffee.
I waited to review until entire bag was gone. This is a very good Guatamla-San Marcos single origin. Cupping: this bean has complex tasting notes with a smooth light chocolate finish. Low acidity in a very consistent medium roast, this is why the beans are dry and not oily, it's not over roasted. I adjusted my grinder to one click above medium, about 6 table spoons for 6 cups.No roasted date is a bit of a let down but expiration date shows it was roasted a month or so before delivery and still with fresh aroma and taste. I always open the sealed bag, close then wait a day before brewing. I think you will find this process makes for a better cup.I recommend you try this, I will be reording but probably direct from the vendor website. With Amazon you just never know how fresh coffee will be, this is a good choice however.

Incredibly good!
I'm hooked on this coffee! Two years ago, I was in the Lake Atitlan area of Guatemala on a 10-day retreat. The retreat center served locally-grown coffee, and it was divine. (I hadn't been drinking coffee for about 1.5 years prior, but after trying that amazing coffee, I started to drink it again.) After returning home, I was able to find a Lake Atitlan-grown coffee, but then it became unavailable. I decided to search Amazon for a replacement coffee and found Two Volcanoes coffee. Well, I love it!There is truly something about the volcanic soil and the climate of the Lake Atitlan area that lends a lovely, smooth, deep flavor to the coffee, and I am sure I will order it again. I also love that the owners of this brand are so dedicated to delivering a wonderful cup every time. It is a delicious indulgence worth having every day!

Coffee snob recommends!
So... I admit to being a coffee snob. I purchased coffee beans from the same roaster for almost 30 years, and they've retired. I wasn't all that optimistic, but I have to say, these beans are amazingly good. They appear to be fresh, with a little bit of oil showing on the bean. They are not over-roasted. When you taste the coffee you are tasting the bean and not the roast. The customer service is lovely. Nice emails inviting me to contact them with any problems. I highly recommend.

Girlfriend and I recently tasted 30+ brands, and this is by far OUR FAVORITE
This coffee is simply amazing! Just thinking about the flavor and aftertaste makes me want to drink this all day.We recently started brewing coffee using an electric kettle ($99) and Chemex 8-cup pour over ($30). After much research, this is apparently the best way to brew coffee. It took me a few tries to get it right, but I have it down now. Plus, it beats brewing coffee through plastic part using standard coffee makers. I'm assuming you already know buying whole beans and then grinding is better than getting pre-grounded beans. The flavors from the pour over brew method are outstanding. We had to re-taste all of our favorite coffee brands. That wasn't enough, though. We were dedicated to finding the best roast and brand. We both liked and settled on medium roast. Light roast simply doesn't have enough flavor and dark roast has too much of a palate kick in the morning. So, medium roast it is.After trying 30+ brands, including the most popular ones on Amazon, Whole Foods, and a few local, this ended up being our favorite. The aroma, taste, and happy feeling you get from this coffee is just outstanding. I know it sounds like I'm overdoing this review, but this is my honest opinion. I freaking woke up earlier than normal just because I was excited to have this coffee.

Interesting coffee
Opening the bag, the coffee smells obviously different from other coffee I tasted. I had never tried Guatemala coffee before so I cannot tell if it is Guatemala coffee's signature smell of something else. Its bean size is noticeable smaller than the Kona coffee I got from Amazon.I used my small french press to test this coffee. The 1st time, I used 18g coffee with 280g water, brewed for 4m30s. The coffee was way too light and has a clear acid taste. The 2nd time, I adjusted the grinder to create finer coffee, same 18g + 280g, brewed 5m30s. The coffee tastes much better than the 1st time. The 3rd time, I brewed coffee for 6m30s. I got the taste I like. The coffee is always into a kind of golden color as photo shows maybe because it is in medium roast. It is not a strong taste coffee and I can easily drink it without milk and sugar.

Smooth as high altitude
I got the taste for high altitude coffee in Costa Rica some years ago,and still buy it when I saw this.I was looking for that smooth taste an not sure about the altitude with Two Volcanoes but the same smooth taste here. I like to smell the aroma when u open the bag,and I like to take a couple of beans and put them in my mouth and taste it too, and enjoy it like a fine wine. That will tell you enough between the two what’s to come later. Well Two Volcanoes is the real deal here for me,that is... The South American coffee is my favorite especially the high altitude coffee, don’t know if this is or not but still has the smooth taste I like..I recently lost my job so been sleeping late so wasn’t in the mood for coffee later in the morning so tried making it in a French press “which is my favorite “ and put it in the fridge overnight and tried it cold my first time from home made, and I have to say for me it’s one of my new favorites and will be returning for more...way to go Two Volcanoes..

History of Guatemala coffee
First of all the packaging is second to none.Beautiful colors of the Mayan people of Guatemala.I have been there, high altitudes surrounded by volcanoes. I love it there. The coffee is different than what I’ve been drinking lately,so early To evaluate. The beans seem to be roasted more as a light roast to me,The tasted is mild, not bitter.i can drink this coffee without hesitation. The quantity is generous.I give 4 stars but could change to 5/after my first week. Thanks go out to the good friends that created this product.Again the artwork on the bag is well worth saving. How could I throw out such beautiful patterns and colors?Give this coffee a try.you won’t be sorry you did.Thank you
