Q: Does it give any hold or texture like a sea salt spray? I’m looking for something to make my fine hair easier to style

Never used a sea salt spray, so I'm not sure about that. I do know that I'm not a fan of this product because it leaves a thickish, heavy feeling on my hair and I think weighs it down, rather than plumps it up. It has corn starch in it and I think that's part of the problem. I do like Aveda Volumizing Spray, however, and use that daily. It leaves no residue and works just fine.

Q: Does this promote healthy hair / growth?

I am honestly not sure if it will promote hair growth. I do know it helps in giving the hair a thicker look I use it on a regular basis. It does work. You might want to go to the Avesta website and read more about it.

Q: This product is supposed to harden in the hair before you comb it out, right? Or does that mean I'm using too much

You don't need a lot and it works better if you do not comb it out... just rub it into scalp and hair, then lightly brush - not at roots.
