An excellent Cutipol knockoff
This design was originally made by Cutipol, a Portuguese company. They're also sold at Crate & Barrel under the "Aero" name. I ordered a set of the Cutipols from Crate & Barrel and a set of these Morgianas to do a side-by-side.The Cutipol set costs $60 and comes with a 5th piece (a small fork). Both the Cutipol and Morgiana come with 4 other pieces: a large fork, a large spoon, a small spoon, and a butter knife. I'll ignore the small fork in the Cutipol set for this review, as the Morgiana set doesn't include it, and quite honestly, I don't care about having a small fork. The most obvious difference: The Cutipol handles are plastic, while the Morgiana handles are metal. The plastic on the Cutipol handles is beautifully textured and grippy. Cutipol wins in aesthetics here (take a look at the close-up on the handles in my 4th picture to get a sense of this). However, the big issue is that the plastic is super-light, so the Morgianas are much heavier, and more importantly, better-balanced. The Cutipol utensils can be top-heavy, especially the large spoon, since the head contains so much metal. In fact, the center of gravity on every Cutipol piece is above the joint (where the black and silver pieces connect), meaning it'll always feel like it's falling away from you. The center of gravity on the Morgianas is slightly below the joint, which is where you grip it, meaning it'll always feel balanced in the hand. For handles, I personally prefer the more useful (albeit less premium-looking) metal handles on the Morgianas. The 2nd-most-obvious difference, and the clearest win for the Cutipols: The joint between the silver and black portion is 100% seamless on the Cutipol. It probably made manufacturing more complicated and expensive, but it pays off. There is a seam on the Morgianas (you can fit a fingernail in there, to give you an idea of how large the seam is), and worst of all, the silver metal on that seam is very reflective and shiny, while it has a nice brushed look on the rest of the utensil. If I had to pick one thing about the Morgianas to change, this would be it. It's a small, stupid detail, but once you see it, you'll never un-see it.Fork details: The Cutipol has shorter tines, and the tines are less pointy. i think the Morgiana fork tines look much better. The Cutipol tines look like they were chopped off near the tip, honestly.Large spoon details: I'd say that this is where the aforementioned balance issues with the Cutipol become most apparent. The Morgiana spoon feels way better in the hand. The Cutipol spoon's silver metal definitely has a nicer, more brushed finish, though. I can still see some shininess on the Morgiana head and it has that "chromed" reflective look in some lights, while light that falls on the Cutipol is perfectly diffused no matter what angle you look at it. I also noticed some aberrations in the shape of the Morgiana spoon when looking at it at certain angles (tough to photograph), while the Cutipol is perfectly circular. This is super-minor and you'll never notice it in use, but you can tell which spoon is from a $20 set and which is from a $60 set. Cutipol wins on aesthetics here, loses on hand-feel due to the unbalanced handle.Knife details: This is where the Cutipol wins most obviously. The detailing on the knife is better. From the tip to the joint, the knife thickness has a more dramatic and striking taper on the Cutipol (it becomes very thick near the joint, and looks more distinguished, IMO). The serrations on the Cutipol go up to the very tip, while they end a little before the tip on the Morgiana. My Morgiana knife also had some tarnishing on the very tip, though perhaps all units won't have this (very minor) defect. Finally, the Cutipol knife is just much thicker and sturdier-feeling when flexed than the Morgiana. I'd trust both of them to cut most things, but the Cutipol doesn't flex at all, while the Morgiana flexes some.Small spoon details: What can I say, these two aren't even remotely the same. The Cutipol spoon seems teaspoon-sized, while the Morgiana one is super-tiny. I honestly wish I could have one of each; teaspoons are super-useful, but I'm looking forward to eating ice cream with the tiny Morgiana spoon.Branding: The Cutipols have their logo on the very base of the silver part of the forks/spoons in a very small font. The knives the word "Cutipol" on one side of the silver part, in a fairly large font. The Morgianas have "Leon 18/10" on the center of the black part of the forks/spoons, and no branding on the knife. The font and finish on the branding is nice on the Cutipols, and it's fairly cheap-looking on the Morgianas. I hate poor branding pretty strongly, but I feel like this branding, while cheap-looking, is small enough that I'm not offended by it. Still, point to the Cutipols here for sure.Overall quality: If these were both the same price, the Cutipols would be the winner. The only losses for them were the less-balanced handles and the weirdly blunt tines on the fork. The handles look nicer, have a perfectly seamless joint, and the detailing (perfect roundness of the spoon, extra thickness on the knife, more diffused brushed finish, etc) is consistent with them being the original and not the knockoff.Verdict: The Morgianas are honestly 95% of the quality at 33% of the price. If you have money to burn, get the Cutipols, but I think I'll be returning the 2 Cutipol sets I bought and getting 6 Morgianas instead, so I can even entertain guests with these beautiful pieces.

Cutest flatware set ever!
I am in love with these. I ordered a pack of 4 which included a spoon, fork, knife, and a dessert spoon. These are insta-worthy and bring life to any table. They are perfect for cute pictures of food too! For this price, these are well worth it.

fancy
This was a great set, until it started to flake and chip away 2 months into to sparing use. To be clear, i use seventh generation soap. I dont use hard abrasives, i use 3M's non-abrasive brown sponge. For the price, this was disappointing. The color looks great - i just wish it stayed on.

I love these but I’d say they’re a bit overpriced.

Love then overall but...
Everything looked great but in one of the four sets I ordered there was an imposter. Going to work with the seller to get it replaced.

Great value for money!
They came individually wrapped which makes it really easy to pack it up if I ever need to bring it somewhere. The color was as expected and the cutlery was all functional. All in all, it was great value for my money!
