Great woodsman tool
Was not sure what to expect but the quality is great and is very sharp. It is weighted good and the design of the leather handle version is good. It is all I carry in the woods.

Best American made clearing tool!
American made with quality clearing tool with heavy weight leather sheath. Somewhatexpensive but worth the extra expense (vs cheap takeoffs). I buy tools for life and will give it to my son at some point. I like the design for chopping and the hook for pulling/cutting.

This thing will last forever.
What a great chopper. I don’t dig foxholes or strip wire with mine but I do constantly chop privy hedges and vines all the time. It slices through anything you hit with it. I’m used to a longer blade so it took getting used to. It’s high quality and worth the high price if you are a serious chopper. The zombie apocalypse crowd should be warned: this is made for work, hard work.

great product with a warping issue
this is an awesome machete. it's like a woodsman's multi tool, the blade shape makes it a spectacular chopper and with a little bit of sharpening it cuts like a razor blade. but as mentioned in my title it has a warping issue. I've gotten two of these now and both of them have had some sort of warp or bend. the first one had the leather handle and I genuinely have no clue how it got past quality control. the pin on the safety strap was barely holding it together, the edge was extremely rough and very dull, and the blade was bent over an inch off alignment. fortunately I was able to send it back and get a replacement. this time I got the wooden handle. I recommend this over the leather one because the leather one is so round it rolls around in your hand super easy. the wooden one might be a little rough on the hands but in my experience gloves mitigate this very well. this time things were better, the safety strap felt secure and the blade was properly sharpened. however there was still a warp in the blade. this time it was much less noticable however, and it didn't affect normal use at all. I recommend this product but expect to sharpen it upon arrival

Worth the price!
I will admit I was skeptical about the woodmans pal at first because of the price. That’s a lot of hard earned money for a tool. But after getting and using mine I will say it’s well worth the asking price. It’s made very well, here in America, from the tool to the sharpening stone. I found it to be very useful and yes you can buy several of those Wally machetes for what you pay for this one and if you rarely use one then that honesty is a better way to go. If you use one often for clearing, hiking, camping, or want a tool to carry on your ATV then you won’t go wrong with this one. No it’s not cheap but a good quality tool isn’t gonna be cheap either. If you want a tool that probably will outlast your lifetime then buy this one. It’s versatile enough to be used for lots of things and built good enough to hold up while you do it. I have chopped trees, brush, thorn bushes, used the sickle edge and it preformed excellent. It takes some practice to figure out to sharpen it properly and get it to hold a edge. If you want a American made tool that’s ups for your task then hit the buy it now button. I wish I had bought one years ago

Usability
This is the one thing to have where ever you go outside. The sheath is thick and will last. The blade makes tis solid a great improvement over most store bought Machettes.
