It works just fine for us
I work part time at a quilt fabric store where we use this sharpener to extend the life of our rotary blades. It works just fine for us. Totally happy with it. (Okay, it could be QUIETER, but otherwise, it's fine)

I have followed the easy instructions, and the mechanism seems to be straightforward
After using a Fiskars rotary blade for about a year, and considering the expense of new rotary blades, I decided to purchase a TrueSharp sharpener to try to save money. I have followed the easy instructions, and the mechanism seems to be straightforward. However, after going through several 30-second cycles in the sharpener to no apparent improvement in my 45mm blade, I decided to try putting in the coarser stones to see if that would help. Nope. I tested the blade on some batiks I had been working with, and the blade was worse, much worse than it had been before I even tried sharpening it with the TrueSharp. It wouldn't even cut a fiber. This sharpener took a somewhat useful blade and rendered it a total piece of junk. I am not amused. Too bad there is not a no-stars option. I really dislike being suckered.
