Flawed Activation Design
I own an LG-405 and a new LG-350G. This LG-350G review is based on my experience in using both.I would give the 405 (a red laser) 5 stars – it was well priced and the activation is intuitive and reliable. I don’t think the 405 is available anymore. Too bad…I wish CTC had made it with a green laser. The LG-350Gs green laser is much brighter than the 405s red laser...especially in daylight. The larger socket screws in the adjustments in the new LG-350G are a marked improvement over the tiny ones in the LG-405. The "click" feedback is also an improvement - you are able to hear/feel how many clicks you have moved the adjustments. Too bad that these upgrades are eclipsed by the awful switch design. My criticism of the LG-350G centers on the ergonomics and function of the activation system. My older LG-405 has a protruding round button switch cap on the grip which effortlessly and intuitively activates the laser whenever you grip the gun. This switch protrusion can be seen clearly in the picture of the LG-350G displayed on Amazon near the top of the grip behind the trigger guard. The example I received does not have this feature or profile. The LG-350G I received has a sculpted switch cap shape which seems intended to blend with the contours of the grip. When I took it to the range to adjust the sight I noticed that the beam was cutting out while I was aiming and shooting as a result of what I believe is the nearly flush switch cap design and ergonomics – there is insufficient protrusion of the switch cap to assure reliable and effortless activation pressure. As a result I need to remain aware of my grip and the switch to keep it from unintentionally going dark...especially during the notoriously heavy J-frame trigger pull which seems to lever or transfer some of the pressure away from the switch. It is a distraction I have never had with my LG-405.I am sorry to say that In the example I have I believe the change in the switch system represents a serious and needless degradation to an otherwise 5 star product. Because the product is an accessory intended for use as a sight on a defensive weapon I am giving it a 1 star review for insufficient R&D. I'm trying to decide if I can learn to work with it or return it. I shouldn't need to do that.

Problematic
I am a 20+ year LEO vet and full time firearms instructor who’s agency has issues the Crimson Trace laser for the Sig P226 to over 1000 Deputies. I have a lot of experience with Crimson trace lasers.I ordered the LG-350 because of the Crimson Trace history of producing a good product. I opened the box and immediately noticed that the finished product did not look like the quality I am use to seeing. I installed the laser and had an immediate problem getting the laser to turn on. It did not mater how I pressed the button or how I held the weapon the lasers activation was intermittently coming on with no consistency.I returned to my office and took the grips off and took the batteries out. I reinstalled everything to find the same problem was occurring. I called the company to see if there was something I could do differently. Their suggestion was to put new batteries in it.For sure the laser did not have a lack of power/brightness. It was acting like it had a loose connection. None the less I will try and switch the batteries out to see it this fixes the problem.I gave it three stars just incase it was the batteries. I would not recommend buying this product at this time. I will get back to you with updates.Update 02-16-20:Ok gang here is an update on the review. I changes my ratings from 3 to 4 stars. The reasons are as follows. After changing the batteries the unit seems to be work working as designed. I still don’t think it is a 5 star unit.First off: Send the unit with working batteries. I am fortunate to work fulltime at a range so getting range time is not a problem. Still I needed to remove the unit from the weapon reinstall new batteries that I purchased and then re-zero the weapon costing me some time and money for the additional ammo needed.Secondly: The green laser is great indoors. Outdoors the laser is easily visible in the morning and in the evening. Late morning and early afternoon it becomes very difficult to see. So difficult I would not rely on using it and change to using the weapons iron sights. The unit fits ok but is not a “GREAT” fit. Its loose enough to get some movement in it from the sever recoil of full-boat .357 magnum rounds. (Hornady Critical Defense) I had to retighten the mounting screws to the point I was afraid the unit was going to sustain damage.Accuracy after re-tightening the grips: It’s holding in place at this time but I also have only put about 100 rounds of .38 special and 25 additional rounds of the magnum ammo through it. At 10 yards using the laser I am able to shoot groups with all rounds touching.I would not normally provide a review like this for the typical amazon purchase. But these are some of things that I feel are important for a buyer to know if they are going to use this unit to defend themselves, loved ones or others in a life threatening confrontation. After I get a few hundred more rounds through it I will do another review.Stay Safe.

LESS THAN ZERO STARS.
A laser sight has one single, straightforward, critical task to perform, failing which, it is an expensive piece of dangerous, life-threatening, junk. It must reliably and consistently turn on, and turn off, on demand. This did neither. Repeatedly.Would only turn on inconsistently. 10-20% of the time. See several reviews saying the same thing. When it did turn on, it wouldn't turn off.Pure garbage.Period.So disappointed. Not at all comparable to the older CT grip I have. Expected much better from CT.And, it appears they don't care enough to make a small, easy design change notwithstanding feedback.New ownership/mgt???

The laser light itself is good but not practical for the location of the laser ...
The laser “light” button is behind the trigger guard and is difficult the push in while at the same time pulling the trigger. There is no adjustment for sensitivity for the laser “light” button. I emailed crimson trace and waited two weeks- only the get an email the said basically to call them at Their business hours. I called them and they said “ we know “ you can take it off and send it in and we can try to make it more sensitive. The laser light itself is good but not practical for the location of the laser button.
