There are problems.
I bought this for a 01 ttr125. It does fit and it works but there is a problem. The grooves/splines are not as "deep" as the factory sprocket. So, you will only have half as much metal contact. This scares me, because it will now be easier to strip the countershaft (the shaft that the sprocket goes onto). If the countershaft strips, you would need to split the cases, and replace it, and it will be expensive. I have striped a countershaft on another bike in the past, and the parts are always expensive.I would imagine that they machine the sprocket like that intentionally, to fit more applications, and be more universal. So if you have a yami, and will be beating on it, I would find a better sprocket. Measure your old one and compare it to my pictures, because this most likely applies to many other brands/models. I would rate it lower than 2 stars, but it would work fine on a different sized countershaft. (Definitely not yamaha though)Also, the sprocket retainer needed to be modified, so the chain wouldn't rub. It's easy to do. But it is a bad design. This is for the 14 tooth, 20 mm, 428 sprocket, but I would definitely assume that most of the others are like this too.

torque finally!
Used on a coolster 125 mountopz. I weigh 220lbs and I used to flood the carb trying to accelerate from a stop... not anymore just dropping 2 teeth and trimming the retainer ring and all of a sudden I feel like I'm riding a 450 plenty of torque and still fast enough to keep up on trails... highly recommend. You will have to adjust the chain tension bit you can do that after you replace the sprocket.

Pops the chain
I got this off a YouTube recommendation to go 1 tooth down on the sprocket for better acceleration and it doesn't fit the chain correctly. I also got the chain the video recommended so that wasn't the issue just put the old sprocket back on.

Be prepared to modify clip
Overall a decent sprocket, however it is definitely not a R/R project. Had to grind the ends of retaining clip off as it is too long and wants to lift the chain off the sprocket. Nothing a bench grinder won't take care of in short order. Also, be prepared to replaced the bolts with Allen heads, I used the button head type. The hex bolts that come with the kit interfere with the chain. Other than that sprocket works well once installed.
