Llama Keeping Raising Llamas – Step by Step Guide Book… farming, care, diet, health and breeding Paperback – Illustrated, July 7, 2014

There aren't a whole lot of books on keeping llamas, so I was happy to see this one available for Kindle. It is interesting, but there are some issues with it. First, the author does not currently (as of the writing, anyway) keep llamas himself. He did work on a llama farm at one point in time. Second, there is no logical structure to the book. It feels more like he's relaying things in the order in which he remembers them. Third, this is a bare overview of llamas and not an in-depth manual. It's worth reading, but should not be the only source of information you use for the decision to, or instructions on how to, raise llamas.

Harry Fields loves llamas, and he wants to make sure any of us peons who buy one (or more) know how to take care of them properly. His book is full of great information, and I found it a fast read, especially because I skipped the chapters that didn't pertain to our situation (i.e., packing or breeding).If you want or have a llama, this is a good book choice for you.

I chose a five star rating because the book was very informative and a quick read. Looking to do some research before acquiring a llama and alpaca.

A friend of mine has kept llamas for a very long time. A good test of the book was its consistency with real life experience. It is well written, full of useful information and one I will refer back to as I myself consider having llamas on a small farm.

This is a must read for those that are interested in raising Llamas. The author is very precise in his knowledge and helpful to share his knowledge to others. Thank you for sharing with the world of animal lovers all that you learned

This book seems directed toward teenage readers. It offers only basic information. I really needed a book that would tell me more in depth information regarding raising Llamas. Things like dental care, birthing issues if any, shearing - how often etc. I haven't found one yet that gives more information. This one is ok but definitely not in depthj.

Excellent reference material! Got this for a friend who loves Llamas and is thinking of getting some to raise/heep in upstate New York.

I was unhappy with the condition this book arrived in. It had been sloppily put in the package so that about a quarter of the book (including the front cover) was bent over in half. Very poor!!!
