12V Dimmable LED Driver 40 Watt Triac Dimming 12 Volt Power Supply IP67 Waterproof Adapter 3.4A, Constant Voltage 40W Power Converter,120V to 12V Low Voltage Transformer

I have a 12v track lighting setup (gu5.3 mr16 bulbs) in a condo I recently purchased. I wanted to have daylight bulbs, which I could only find in LED; I figured this would be better anyway due to lower power usage. Unfortunately, the original transformer did not work properly except at 100% brightness. Otherwise, it would make an extremely annoying buzzing noise. I struggled to find a 12v LED dimmable transformer that would fit inside the enclosure required until I stumbled on this. I was a bit worried it might not work as they say it’s only for LED strips and no info on compatibility with mr16 bulbs. Regardless, I gave it a shot and it did end up working great! It has only been in the unit for about a day, but I’ll report back should it end up failing.

Bought that a while ago for a living room LED pendant I made myself. Awesome driver as it lets your dim with a standard wall dimmer. Only one caveat - my dimmer eats a bit of voltage (Max is 102V or so) so I don't get to 100% brightness as in my other projects but probably 80-90%. But thats not the transformers issue but the dimmer. What I really like is the smooth on off function.

So far, so good after one year.
