Less stink, easy to use. Quick, efficient and easy kimchi.
This appears to working extremely well. The fridge is definitely less smelly and my batch of beetroot kimchi is developing a good flavour. It is certainly a lot easier than fiddling around with several glass jars, several followers and several filters. Kimchi making is now a far more straightforward efficient process. The inner lid for keeping kimchi submerged is excellent and far less bother than glass followers.I may decant enough kimchi for a few days into a glass jar for easy serving in a hurry. One box does not hog as much room in the fridge as three plus kilner jars. The brown colour is not wonderful but the beetroot does not appear to have stained it. I really liked the look of the aqua version but I’m sure it wouldn’t look as pretty after a few batches of beetroot or even just ordinary kimchi. The very pretty silicone filters I used on my kilner jars don’t look nearly as attractive after a few batches of kimchi have stained them. When budgets allow I will be getting another one.

Best Sauerkraut i have made to date
Ok so firsly i purchased this for Sauerkraut but it has many uses from keeping dry foods airtight.Fermented foods is where it shines.I was going to purchase a traditional crock pot but figured this would be easier to maintain and less heavy to store. When using this for Kimchi you need to plug the little hole in the inner lid that you oish down. This is due to anerobic conditions in which it ferments. But for Kraut you want that c02 to escape so i tend to push the inner plate all the way down and place the plug in till i remains kn place. Then i gently ease the rubbee stopper out which allows the c02 to escape. The outer lid is exellent meaning i dont worry about smells when fermententing or outside contamination.I have to say this helf 2 large cabbages ans could still have took more. Its a great size for this. And the Kraut is the best i have produces since i began.I think it allows for less monitoring due to the design and its very well made.I will be buying more for other uses very soon. What a great product.

Good
This is a very good product. I have been using this now for around a month in order to give a good, accurate and honest review as many seem to be too quick to judge this product. This is a very efficient and fit for purpose product, but it could definitely be improved.Firstly, the colour is not unappealing, but could be a nicer and more attractive colour like a darker brown or even a red colour. The size of the container is good, very deep and is made of a sturdy material. However I have found that after some use the depth of the container can become annoying as (I used it for making kimchi) the red pepper flakes and excess moisture would cover my hands when I went to take the inner lid out as the suction moves the product up the sides of the container over time. Due to this I am constantly having to wipe down the sides of the container. The inner lid has a good seal, but you can yank it off easily, which infers there isn't a complete air-tight seal. However the inner lid is good at stopping the majority of the strong smell from permitting the whole fridge. Overall very little smell is apparent at very cold temps. To test this, I did increase and decrease the coldness of the fridge, with the results being there was no smell at very cold, and a definite smell at the warmest my fridge would go. So, the colder the better. The little stopper is ok, but sometimes difficult to push into the little whole to make the air tight seal. It can also pop out/ leak liquid on top when the fermentation process is in working order. The lid that locks on top is very good, a good seal and easy to take off and put on.Overall, I would say this is a very good product and made the kimchi very well. However there is room for improvements. Such as making the container the same 3.4L but longer so it's not as deep. Secondly, the small handle to take the inner lid out could be longer to make it easier. Thirdly, the stopper could be bigger, again, for ease. However I will give this 4 stars as these are just my personal preferences and the product is still very very good. I am very happy with it.

Kimchi!
I’ve made kimchi a few times following Korean methods, this crazy Korean fermenting container is excellent, the concept of the whole product is genius as opposed to using a glass kilner jar, it has a rubber valve on one of the parts to release gas during the fermentation process. It has not released any odor after 3 days of fermentation because it has an airtight system although I am not deterred by the smell of fermenting kimchi, it’s supposed to be that way.

It does exactly what it says in the description
The container fantastic, I'm planning to buy a bigger one, but the price for a piece of plastic is way too overpriced, however it is really good product, I hope the silicone seal will be durable. The 3.4L container is pretty small but easily fit 3 cabbage in it. If you are eating kimchi on a regular basis, you may need two containers, anyway it needs time to ferment, about 7-10 days so while you are finishing the first you can already start to make the 2nd batch :)That's why I'd like to buy a bigger, so I don't need to make kimchi too often, it stays fresh in the fridge.Highly recommended!

Makes superb Kimchi and Sauerkraut
I now have 3 different sizes of these exceptionally well designed and practical Crazy Korean appliances. The genius lies in the way the airtight seal inside the appliance ensures that the anaerobic process can take place.I love the taste and health benefits of the wonderful food source these appliances allow me to easily make.

Brilliant and simple.
Just completed my first batch of Kimchi in it after a week and it's turned out perfect. Such a simple idea, essentially a double sealed container in which each day I used the inner seals release valve to squeeze it down and releasing any gases. Can't wait to keep using it for even more tasty goodness.
