KCGRN Kitchen Caddy Food Waste Bin, Plastic, 2 Gallon, Green

I've been using this compost bin for the last few years and have had no issues with it. It has held up well, and I like that it's easy to open and close. I find this bin to be the perfect size for my kitchen compost; in a three-person household we fill it up in ~4-5 days which is about how often I want to take the bag out to the curbside compost so things haven't gotten too smelly. The lid doesn't snap shut (it just rests there), but that's not a problem unless you overfill the bin. I actually prefer it this way because I like being able to open the bin easily. Highly recommend this compost bin!

This is the perfect size for composting food scraps from your kitchen without running outside to the compost bin. It fits perfectly under the kitchen sink, and is lightweight so that when you fill it up with food products, it easily carries and empties. At first I didn't think it locked, but all you need to do is pull the handle forward and down over the front and it locks the lid in place. I purchased some compostable bags to go inside to keep it clean, but it's small enough to wash out in the kitchen sink. It has little air holes in the top but does not let any odor out that we've noticed. We use ours every single day and are very pleased. A friend who works in environmental waste tells us that less than 1% of garbage customers compost their food waste. This little bin makes it very easy to compost/recycle food scraps, so the 1% number can easily get higher! Super easy to use and the perfect size to fit in even the smallest kitchens.

Well constructed and sturdy, making it easy to carry out compost to the main compost bin. My only gripe is that it is slightly too deep for standard 3 gallon compost bags, so the edges of the bag tend to fall into the bin. I use the bags to keep the cleaning of the bin to a minimum.

Nice little compost bin. Much smaller than our previous one (that rusted out), so I was worried it would be inconvenient, but it works just fine. Small, lightweight, carry handle and good lid. Pretty much what you want to hold your kitchen scraps for compost!

Food bin is just the right size for our kitchen. The bags for it are a bit expensive, but the food waste bin does keep the decaying organic food odors from taking over in the kitchen.

Use to have a different compost bucket, and it finally wore out so I bought this one. The only downfall is the way the handle latches the lid down, but once you get used to it it is ok. 9/3/2018 so I have been using this bucket for a while now, and I really do like this bucket. It cleans up easily, and no lingering order. I would definitely buy this bucket again or recommend it to a friend. I have included a pic of how the handle locks the lid down.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. This container is made of very lightweight plastic that wouldn't survive a fall to the ground if it were full of wet food scraps. I got it set up with a compostable plastic bag and tired to close the lid. It wouldn't close snugly. There were gaps around the entire lid were fruit flies would have a hay day and odors would escape. If you push the handle in the upright position if catches the lid and holds it closed a little bit better, but not much. You're better of putting a plate over a bowl as a compost container. Or better yet, for the same price buy a big plastic bucket of ice cream enjoy the treat and use the bucket afterwards as a compost bin.

Bought this bin for temporary storage of compostables under my kitchen sink in a single household. I use the product with compostable "plastic" bags, which works out well. The product has held up for a few years now and is very convenient and quite sturdy. The lid can be locked using two different positions of the handle. Easy enough to clean and typically needs a wipe down if there is any build-up of compost grime. Would recommend for a compost bin that's a reasonable size for under the sink and holds up over time.

I like this bucket. It's better than the one the Region of Waterloo gave us. That one is sold at Home Depot for $10. This one is on sale for $13. It's not super sturdy, but it's perfectly acceptable as a countertop compost bin. Large in size, and the lid is locked into place with the handle, so the lid won't snap/crack from constantly pushing to click-close. I place the handle in front, and then lift the handle and then catch the lid to lift. Super easy.

Haven't had this long but it appears sturdy and seems to be worth the money. Only thing I didn't like was the packing tape used to keep it closed. Pulling it off, there were a number of areas of glue left on the bin which I haven't been able to remove.

This is a great kitchen green bin, it is well made and sturdy. It is easy to clean and the perfect size. I love that the handle locks the lid, it has come in handy many times when I have knocked the bucket over and it has saved the contents from spilling out.

Works great, like a green bin caddy should. The sizing is perfect for my small compost bags (10L). You can lock it shut at night to prevent any curious pets by simply swing the handle from back to front. Easy to clean. Only thing is, I wish it was more air tight, but it wasn't in the product description so not their fault.
