Cables Unlimited ADP-3770 DVI-I Female to Female Coupler

I have a plastic bin container full of HDMI/DVI adapters and extensions. Recently I got a new laptop, and my DVI monitor "stopped working" - no signal. The cable worked on another monitor I had, so the problem was not the cable. I wanted to try another cable to see if that worked, but I needed an adapter like this to do so.I got this adapter, then coupled a HDMI-DVI cable to a DVI-DVI cable. Both of these cables were higher quality than the cable which "stopped working". I assume the higher quality cables had less signal drop, because joining the 2 cables worked perfectly. (This probably suggests my new MacBook outputs less power on the HDMI signal, since the but that's another story.)DVI and HDMI cables can be picky, and if not enough signal gets delivered, nothing works at all. You want one of these so you can always fall back on that collection of cables you have, and find one that works. Or, you could just make a bigger extension out of 2 DVI cables.

I needed this coupler to connect two DVI cables together for my 20" apple cinema display monitor, and it worked as advertised. I would buy it again if needed.

These little parts are well crafted & reliable. I have 6 and have had no problems.Useful if you need to extend a DVI.
