PERFECT FOR OUR NEEDS - THEY ACTUALLY COVER AND DON'T SPILL
Finally ... covered ice cube trays that actually cover. I have tried several covered trays and they were all returned, as the covers DID NOT SEAL well. These are quite a change, as the covers actually have snap locks on ALL FOUR SIDES. When I washed them, I put the covers over them and shook each one. NONE ... leaked. According to some reviewers, the trays were small. They are a bit small, but at 9X6 inches, they are by no means tiny. Each tray has 3 rows of 7 cubes. The cubes are on the smaller side, but that works fine for us. Every few weeks our refrigerator's ice maker stops working. Sears has replaced everything, and it still occurs. We found that by shutting off the ice maker for a day or so, it starts working again. The problem is that for those few days we have no ice. I think that somewhere along the supply line to the ice maker, it is freezing up. So for those few days we need to use ice cube trays. We do NOT have a place for Ice cube trays in the freezer portion of the refrigerator, so these fit the bill perfectly. They are smaller and covered so when filled, we can stick them in where ever they would fit and not have to worry about spills. We feel these were made just for our situation, and we love them.04/25/15 UPDATE: Our ice-maker stopped making ice again. The ice bin was still 1/2 full when it stopped, so I filled these and threw them into the freezer. When the bin's 1/2 full ice was used up, we shut off the ice maker for 2 days, and used the ice from these trays. They worked perfectly, NO SPILLAGE, and the ice was easy to get out of the trays by simply running the covered trays over with water and giving the tray a slight twist and wiggle, the cubes dropped into a bowl fairly easily.

Run under hot water for few seconds to thaw and cubes pop right onto lid!
Edit:I have owned these trays for two years. Still perform like the day I bought them. Really surprised at the reviews who give this product few stars due to user error. It is an ice cube tray that is sealed with a lid. It is frozen (so rigid when removed from freezer) and not designed to twist like the older trays that did not fit a lid. Don't try to twist it to pop out the cubes. Remove tray from freezer, leave tray CLOSED, give two minutes to let sit on counter (or a few seconds under hot water for those who are really impatient) and the cubes will pop onto the lid when you turn upside down. Give a little shake and voila! All cubes are released. Open lid and get your cubes. Really not difficult at all. Stop giving this product poor stars because you don't want to use it the way it was designed.Review for: Komax Ice Cube Tray with No-spill Cover (Set of 4), Sold by: digi sales, Fulfilled by: Amazon, Purchase price: $18.99 on May 10, 2016. The Komax Ice Cube Tray really does not leak! You can shake it while tipped upside down and not a drop of water will escape. Gone are the days of balancing water in a tray while cautiously walking from the sink to the freezer, only to have the tray tip once it is placed in the freezer. Also gone are ice cubes that smell and taste like other frozen items in your freezer. These ice cubes taste fresh because they are sealed. The trays stack well and once frozen can be turned vertical if you need space. Let thaw for a few minutes on counter and ice pops right out. I flip over with lid locked on and tap on a few cubes to fall against the inside of the lid when I don't want to use all of the cubes. I unlock the lid and only those cubes come out. Easily refill those spots, relock the lid, and put back in the freezer. Ice cubes do not freeze in chunks unless you overfill of course. Trays are durable! My son dropped it on the kitchen floor while it was frozen and there was no damage to the seal or container. Great for freezing more than just water--I froze tomato juice and no stains. I own Komax air-tight containers and the Komax Ice Cube Tray with No-spill Cover. Love both of them. Komax and Lock & Lock are my go-to products for air-tight, durable containers. Other brands (such as Sterilite and Snapware) claim to be air-tight, but are not, due to defective seals.

Good product!
I really wish I'd had these growing up with no ice maker and a freezer full of really dubious and regularly smelly stuff. Using the combination of these covered trays and filtered water really does make an immediate and noticeable difference in the taste of everything you put ice in; unless you have a very, very clean fridge and freezer and a very effective filter on a built in ice maker your ice probably tastes at least a little bad and you don't notice until you have not-bad tasting ice to compare it to.Apart from the covers these are relatively standard ice cube trays. They are not difficult to remove the ice from, but they don't have an easy release feature either, and the trays are made of a hard material (some sort of plastic, don't know) that must be twisted to release the ice. I have problems with the joints in my hands and am able to use them, so I think they should be fine for most people. The plastic material does not leave any taste or smell in the ice.The lids are really what make these a good product. They seal very tightly making it easy to transfer the trays from the sink to the freezer without spilling, allowing for easier storage and making them stackable, and keeping out any freezer odors that make ice taste nasty. They have a rubber or silicone seal around the top and clips that hold them securely in place. I do find that the lids are slightly difficult to remove since they are snapped on pretty securely and obviously very cold, so it's only difficult because of the combination of the cold temperature and hard material on sensitive finger tips, not really any design flaw. These are a good quality, effective, and serve their purpose well. I'm always happy to leave a good review for a product that genuinely makes a positive difference in something, which for something as ridiculously simple as covered ice trays, these really have improved the taste of the water I drink all day which is not a small thing. There are several small improvements that could be made, and I am trying to be careful about leaving 5 star reviews only when I see little or no room for improvement.
