This charging cable has a lot of very positive reviews, and I am sure that it is a good cable, but that was not my experience. I purchased the cable to use in my Anker IQ 5-port wall charger (pictured). I plugged in my iPad and confirmed it was charging. I then plugged in the Pencil and let it charge for the night. When I came back the next morning, neither device was charged. I tried replugging it in, but it didn't work. I tried a different cable in my charger to confirm the problem was not the device. I returned the cable through Amazon and got a replacement one.I noticed the second cable still didn't work in the original USB slot. After some additional testing, what I discovered is that, when the iPad is plugged in, plugging in the Pencil shorts the USB port. It has broken three of my five charging ports.I am sending my cable back and looking for a different option.

LOVE this product!After researching several companies, I found this cable and took a chance.It’s a reliable product!My iPad was not charging as fast with the old cord and I lost my iPencil charger over time. Plus, I hated charging my iPencil (first generation) on the side sticking out! Scared that it would break off!My iPad and iPencil literally charged to 100% in under 30 minutes!Wow! I recommend this product!

April 2020: This little bugger is the best. I can charge my ipad and pencil at the same time. I have the 2018 9.7" iPad and the 1st gen pencil. No more worries about loosing the pencil charging adapter. No more adapter slipping off the pencil or power cable. The pencil fits nice and snug. The cord is long enough not to be a problem. Overall I am in love with this cable. Get it! It is worth it!UPDATE September 2020: This does not work to sync iPad to Mac / charger iPad from Mac this could be my ports (2014 MacBook Pro) but it just keeps connecting and disconnecting. I keep my original apple cable stowed away for syncing or just sync via bluetooth. Other than that this is still a great product, I use it daily plugged into a usb charger with no problems, no signs of wear. Added a pic of the pencil dangling from the cord. Firm connection, doesn't slip off.

I have always been impressed with the level of quality of the products I purchase, unfortunately, this charging cable is not one. I thought I would be getting something that would keep my Apple pencil charged while charging my IPad. The end result was that the plug-in for the pencil fused to the pencil and destroyed the pencil's ability to charge. So it cost me a new Apple pencil.

Our college, like many others during this crisis period, had to suddenly transition to online instruction. As a result, I've had to begin communicating with our math students using an iPad Pro and Apple pencil on a daily basis now. The charging cable enables me to simultaneously recharge both the iPad Pro and Apple pencil overnight so they are both ready for use the next day. I recharge both by plugging the charging cable into an electric wall outlet adapter. This is a well designed and sturdy product which I foresee being used for many years to come. I should mention that the charging cable arrived several weeks ahead of the original anticipated delivery date. I really love this cord my daughter keeps losing the interchangeable pieces that sit on top of the iPad pencil so we could never charge it. This cord solves my problem and I can still charge her iPad while I’m charging the pencil success!!! It’s a nice decent length and feels pretty durable.

This is so much easier than trying to find 2 plugs to charge both the pencil and tablet. The cable is long enough to charge both tablet and pencil together without stress and strain. Nice solid connection for the pencil and not having to hunt for the adapter is so nice. Definitely a good design.

I’m loving this accessory. I ditched the connector the Apple Pencil came with, as it was very difficult to keep track of. I had a feeling in time, it would get lost anyways - now I don’t have to worry about that! I was worried going into the purchase that I would have problems with a charge going in and out as some other off brand lightning cords have a tendency to do and STILL no problems 3 weeks later. I purchased 2 on accident (Only wanting 1), but want to keep both so I can have one at home and one for travel. It’s great to be able to charge both pencil and ipad at the same time rather than having to time out charging each individually.
