Jules Verne captured the essence of his time, unlimited possibilities for the future because the scientific revolution was opening up vistas unheard of on a few years before. And he could write a very good tale, too. Especially like the Mysterious Island. Who would not want to be shot out of a giant cannon on a course to the moon? Between Mr. Verne and Mr. H. G. Welles literature had a couple of giants and their stories still read well today.

It’s verne so the stories are good but parts of the stories are missing which is a bummer

Incredible value for seventy five pence but woefully let down by the liberal spread of typing errors and misspelled words.It looks as though this book has been electronically scanned from an original and the software has guessed at some letters to make a word, but sadly it doesn't appear to have been proofread and corrected.For seventy five pence I can live with the errors but they do tend to get in the way of a good yarn.

The complete works for free, what more do you need?

A present for my growing daughter who likes to read so she start reading better books (classics) to enrich her vocabulary while having fun.

Great to have all in one Jules Verne masterpieces.
