Holds Up To A Fair Amount Of Abuse
For the price, they work well, but the plastic at the top where the adapter pushes against when tightened down eventually started to deform. Note that it's taken my abuse for about a year and I've got gorilla hands when it comes to tightening things.

Works great
Inexpensive and durable (although plastic), this device works great to hold my 580exII speedlights in lots of positions. Mounts onto any light stand easily and securely. For the money, and with care, this product will serve you well for a long time.

Excellent adapter for Speedlites & modifiers
I use several of these to set up Speedlites on lightstands, with and without modifiers, for on-location photography, off-camera flash, reception lighting, etc. The Speedlite slides into the top of the adapter, and the modifier slides into the hole in the top half. It adjusts easily and swivels so that you can adjust the angle. It fits onto every lightstand I own (several brands, couldn't even begin to list them).I use it primarily with a Canon Speedlite 580EXII and a Westcott 30" square softbox.

large, modular, a bit awkward
This bracket is nearly twice the mass of some similar adapters I use. The weight adds to stability but the materials aren't so heavy that it's going to tip your lights over. The same size and shape of hole used to mount the bracket on a light stand it on the top of the adapter; a modular nib (with the two different tripod threads on each end) is used to attach the cold shoe adapter. I wish that two of those nibs had been included so that both a cold shoe can be attached and the bracket mounted on a tripod, if needed. The same type of hole also runs parallel to the floor, perpendicular to the vertically-aligned cold-shoe-mounting space, but also in that upper area. This allows versatility in orientation of the nib, should a 90 degree configuration be needed. All of these holes (two on the top half, one on the bottom) can be tightened down using the knobs seen in the product photo. The umbrella shaft hole is in the top half of the unit, allowing the strobe and umbrella to move together. This is fairly standard, but some similar adapters on Amazon don't have that functionality. The long handle at the mid joint makes for very quick and easy angle adjustments, and (though light-duty in materials) seems to be respectably built.UPDATE: (after a month of use)The part of the clamp that attaches to the light stand is too big: it doesn't tighten down onto a standard light stand. I went to a hardware store and replaced the plastic screw with a slightly longer phillips machine screw that fit. Now I need to bring a small screwdriver with me when using this adapter.Probably better to pass on this one.

FANTASTIC!
I bought this one last minute to replace a broken one and I love this one better than the one I bought from B&H! It's durable and flexible. It grabs on to the light stand with ease and holds without wobbling. the angles are great, holds an umbrella nicely. I use it on a couple of different light stands and it also works pretty cool by itself (I pop the angle to a 90 degree and it becomes a "foot"). Great product!

Shoe Adapter will break on you
If you're buying this item to insert a speedlite into the top of it... don't.The "shoe adapter" is made of very brittle plastic, and will crack merely moving the stand around with a light in the top of it, rocking back and forth. Mine did. No drops or abuse necessary. It broke on it's very first use. Note: The shoe adapter to mount a speedlight to the top of this otherwise high-quality unit is not shown in the Amazon photo.

Decent cheap adapter....umbrella mount not angled??
For a beginning photographer, this is a decent umbrella swivel for the price. I picked up a couple for around $20 each when I first got into lighting, and they are still holding together after regular use. The only strange thing about them, is the hole where you mount the umbrella is not angled as it should be. When you put a speedlite in the cold shoe, it points toward the top of the umbrella, instead of the center as it should? Not a huge problem, just odd. Also, the cold shoe is pretty cheap, and both eventually had to be replaced!Eventually I upgraded to a metal Manfrotto 026 Swivel for about $30, topped with a Frio ENLFRC1A Cold Shoe which is much more secure, and will last a whole lot longer!

Okay for light weight modifiers.
This is a nice light weight item if you are using light weight modifiers with your off camera flash, such as those by Honl or Lumiquest. However it is not strong/sturdy enough for anything heavier than light weight, and a cover piece fell off the side of one after only a couple of uses. Definitely not recommend for anything heavier than a small softbox or umbrella. For heavy duty or even constant use I would recommend a metal umbrella holder such as the Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) Replaces:2905 also available from Amazon.

Good for a Budget Solution
I have looked at a good few similar products on Amazon but this is the only one I have found that didn't look flimsy or get negative feedback about the build quality. I'm glad I bought it - it's fairly tough moulded plastic with suitably firm knobs (chuckle). The umbrella slot is tear drop shaped and it looks like it will accept umbrellas with a diameter of 5mm up to 10mm. A spigot is supplied which is topped with a standard thread, and also a screw-on cold shoe adaptor. This is slightly too small for a Canon Speedlite 580EX II and to secure mine safely I basically didn't quite push the Speedlite foot all the way in to the cold shoe before locking it off. One slight grumble is that the cold shoe does not feel secure screwed onto the top of the spigot and it can easily be loosened by adjusting the flash controls... but then there are other solutions on the market for that! All in all I am quite satisfied and will probably be ordering a couple more. I'd obviously rather have the shiny Manfrotto version of this essential accessory, but for the photographer on a budget this product is actually much better quality than most of the cheap alternatives we usually end up buying.

Functionally excellent - but badly scuffed and marked etc
I ordered mine from Fotosense and it arrived very quickly. However, the plastic packaging was quite yellowed and scuffed etc.Once I unpacked it, the condition of the adapter was not any better - quite a few scuff marks and scratches - it look like a used item.I emailed the Fotosense who advised that these were tooling marks and the adapter was not meant to be beautiful! Only option offered was to send it back at my expense as unwanted. If you ignore the poor cosmetic condition, the actual adapter is solidly constructed and very easy to use and adjust. I bought some cheaper Neewer adapters and this Interfit is considerably better built - but obviously 4 times the price of the Neewer.Overall I am glad I bought the Interfit as my main adaptor and will use the Neewers as a secondary when I need to use 2 flashes.

Interfit STR117 Umbrella Holder and Hotshoe adapter.
The above goods that I have purchased:What I think of this is the Hot-shoe adapter, is just a very cheep piece of badly made plastic part. I I was to put my expensive speed light on that, it will break in an instant. As for the main part which should be metal is cheap plastic and wiAmazon.co.uk: Create Your Own Reviewhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/review/create-review?ie=UTF8&asin=B002WGJFLK&channel=YAcc-wr&ref_=oh_rev_o00_s00_i00ll ware out in a short period of time. I was very disappointed when I received this piece of cheap plastic rubbish.

Umbrella holder/hotshoe adapter
For the price this is an excellent piece of equipment, ideal for use with the cheap stand and brollies it is advertised with. The locking nuts are plastic, and I would not want to be constantly opening/closing them, the core is a reasonable quality metal. It does the job very well. I am an ex professional, needing it now infrequently. Combined with the stand and any of the cheap umbrellas advertised with it, makes for an excellent cheap portable studio flash unit.

Super Umbrella Holder Interfit
This unit is a must buy no problems at all using any flash gun or umbrella , it has great positioning features I use mine all the time... Use with shhot thru umbrellas or reflective... The price for this is very good so cheap I have seen some reviews on the cheaper ones but cannot comment on these as a lot of people I have found do not know how to handle those type of units..
