Lovely book with flip pictures

My 18 month old granddaughter could not get enough of this book. I'm hopeful that it will deter her from biting the dentist when she goes for her first visit today.🤞

My daughter loves this book and she pretends to play dentist all the time now.It helped her to understand who a dentist is but when we went for checkup she still didn't want to open her mouth.But I can't really blame the book for it,she is only 2yo and quite shy in a new environment.

My grandchild loved this and when he went to the dentist he knew exactly what to expect....

My son loves this and helped him to understand the process of going to the dentist and what would happen there before he went for his first visit. Because of COVID we hadn't been able to take him when his first teeth came through and it took an age to get him an appointment when we eventually could go meaning he was already 3 with all the usual fears and anxieties about things like this.The fun nature of the book with the flaps and moving parts meant he was actually looking forward to his appointment and getting to go up and down in the chair. He enjoyed it so much he wanted to immediately go back! He still reads this a lot and engages with us relating what's in the book to his experience which is brilliant. I would definitely recommend this and the others in the Big Steps series.

We got this for our daughter to help prepare her for her first dentist visit. She loved it!

I purchased this book in anticipation for my two year olds first trip to the dentist. We read it several times in the leading days. She was very excited to open the flaps and raise the chair on the pages all while chanting “dentist dentist dentist”. Needless to say, she did amazing at the dentist, no meltdowns and no screaming. Was it the dentist? Was it the book? We’ll never know but it’s worth a shot!
