UPDATE 7/27/2019 Well I've already received a replacement for the failed unit. The return process, and time it took, was extremely efficient. The unit I received appears to be a new item, not refurbished.For me, the customer support more than made up for the defective product.UPDATE: 7/19/2019 The unit hasn't been used much, and hasn't been abused at all. Unfortunately the unit is dead. Battery voltage is fine, 3.8V- It's not user serviceable. I'll update when I hear back from Flir. It had some amazing points- wish other devices had 'em (DJI- take a hint with the adjustable length USB connection).The temp range is great, the photos, and video it takes are amazing! The problem is, the app has no way to leave the screen timeout off.... Huge mistake. Plus, it takes a long time, to actually get this thing connected to your phone. Guess I'll pay for the R&D for future positive reviews.

The product would not turn on. Let it charge for two days. Ended up returning. Customer service not the best to work with.

The Flir One Pro is pretty cool. Unfortunately, the company seems to have manufactured them with defective batteries that, over time, won't charge to full and dissipate rather quickly. Worse still, this defect is likely to kick in after the warranty ends. Their support will happily issue you a small discount so you can waste even more money on a replacement, so there's that...

I have the C plug model. Reviews say it doesn't work with a Galaxy S8, but it works perfectly.
