Kalloy Adjustable 26.0mm 90mm Black Stem

I bought a road bike for triathlon knowing I wanted to convert it to a triathlon bike setup. I put clip on aero bars, got a set-back seat post, and new saddle. I wasn't getting low enough even by removing the stock stem spacers and flipping the stock stem, so I started looking for adjustable stems. There are a few out there with mixed reviews. I was hesitant about getting this Kalloy stem because it only had two reviews, but I went and bought it because it was at a great price and was just what I needed. This product was perfect for me needs. I adjusted the stem to almost the negative max and it was perfect for getting me in a comfortable aero position for triathlon; it was the missing piece to my setup. Another reviewer did mention this is a bit heavy, and by heavy meaning just slightly heavier than your average stem. However, I'd take the negligible added weight any day as it helps me get in aero position which is way more important. 1 year with a handful of sprint and 2 olympic races later (1 of them biking in the rain), this stem is still as durable as when I first got it.Tip: Make sure you know the measurements of BOTH your stem and handlebars.

I bought this because I recently purchased a new road bike but couldn't figure out what angle the bars would be most comfortable. I bought this to basically experiment what angle or raise was most comfortable for me. I still have it on and I plan on replacing it with a non adjustable stem. It's quite heavier than the stock stem but I'm not racing I'm riding for exercise. Good product for the price if your trying to experiment with raise and angle of the bars for the best comfortable ride.

Bought this to replace a stripped out motobecane part that only lasted about a month. This is much stronger and its adjustable too. Works perfect so far.
