Pretty heavy duty, construction is just as you'd expect it! I even had a small accident when installing and it held on well nothing broke! this thing is built like a tank and continue to function! Very good value for what is given. I installed it while the line was HOT while trying to be as careful as possible! did not have to flip the breaker to install but used gloves and a ton of care.

This emergency LED light is simple, reliable, and does exactly what it’s meant to do. The illumination is clear enough to guide you safely during an outage, and the unit feels solid once installed. The price is right. It activates consistently and provides dependable backup lighting when you need it most.

This light work as designed but the mounting is a bit funky as it has NO pre knocked out mounting holes or ring as my my box was a cut in. I drilled 4 holes in the corners and mounted directly to the drywall and it worked perfect. Also I had to step bit out the center hole as it was too small for me to push the wire nuts back through as I always use my own wire nuts and not the ones supplied. All and all I am happy but it does add about 20 to 30 minutes to the install time. I would still purchase even if all this was known up front because I like the green LED letting me know the circuit has power as well as the trest button to kill the 120 to 277 volts AC

Had 3-4 older units that the Fire Marshal didn't think were bright enough (he was right). This was a cost effective fix, much easier and cheaper than new batteries/repairs to the old lights.

Used these to replace the existing ELM lighting (same as these but non led) and they were simple to install and are 10x brighter than the incandescent model. I was also happy to see that the old lantern style batteries the old models used have been replaced by a standard round cell bundle of three with a standard JST connector. 3 installed in less than an hour. Only downside: an upgrade as described in my case leaves a small area that was blocked by the old housing exposed by the new housing. In my case these were installed in a shop office which was done before the first coat of paint had been put on apparently. Trivial but noting it for who it might matter to.

Read the directions! In home wiring the black wire is usually the hot wire. On this unit the red wire is the hot wire. Follow the instructions and its easy to connect.

The battery is totally dead.

We bought 2 of these, they were very easy to install. We've had a few outages since buying them and they've worked amazing every time! Very bright, I would recommend them.

They work well, cheaper than my suppliers, heads are adjustable but limited adjustment. I installed over top of a device box formerly for a plug and worked well

This works as described in ad. Already used when power went out for emergencies. Pretty bright and made navigating indoors much safer when power is out. Would definitely recommend.

I have bought several of these over the years to use as emergency lights on my boats. They do work great and they updated a problematic electrical clip in favour of white and black wires with wire connectors to connect the base to the fixture. It's not as mindless as the old method, but pretty close to it. And definitely not as frustrating as it was when the old style clip failed.
