Not the best option
The bulb connector is not like the one in the image used to sell this item. The one I needed for my BMW matched the connector that is used in the image.The bulb brightness is less / dimmer than the opposite headlight which clearly shows that this ballast is not suited to be an accurate replacement for my BMW.

Not what I was needing.
The part was supposed to be an exact fit for my Beemer. The cup that covers the bulb socket was 4” and needed to be 4.5”. The wire was slipped through the new parts cup, then pressed into the igniter box. I would have had to try to use the old cup. Something exact replacement would not need to be done.

Ballast works but plug isn't as pictured
Plug is not as pictured, it's a shallower socket. On my E39 BMW, I cannot use this with the OEM headlight boot. I had to remove OEM boot and use the new boot. The new boot fits very tight and was hard to install. There's no internal groove on the boot that will lock on to the ring on the headlight assembly. Very generic, universal boot that is not make/model specific. Time will tell if it pops loose.

Will it work.
Installed the unit however it did not work. not very happy.

Works....Sometimes.
The item performs well when it works. It appears the item I purchased developed a short. It became apparent within 30 days after installation.
