Thomas & Friends (My Busy Books) Board book – Picture Book, January 1, 2011

The trains are very little, the mat is sturdy paper but does fall apart over time, and the storage cases are closed with relatively flimsy plastic. Don’t expect this book/toy to hold up for a long time. That said, this keeps my son occupied, interacting, and happy when out and about. I’m pleased with the purchase overall.

Kids love these books with play figures and playmats. Honestly, they are the best value that your money can buy. I have purchased many.

These books are absolutely perfect! It's a book and a toy. Everything can be put away inside the book which can then go right on the shelf. Tons of variety. I have bought several for ages 2 to 7.

My kids adore these busy books. The small toys are cute and allow for hours of fun. They are easy to pack up and take places although it would be better if they came with some kind of way to actually latch them shut so the toys don't fall out in route.My 2 year old loves trains and these are no exception. Although I don't recommend for small children who put things in their mouths to play with unsupervised. We take this one to out to eat, doctor appointments, and other places where he is easily bored. He switches back from the toys to the book and is entertained for a good duration.

Love this book and the little trains that came with it, they are perfect for travel. The mat is starting to rip after a few months, but it is nothing that some clear packing tape can't fix.

I can't say enough about busy books except that they are well worth it! The busy books are interactive books that engage both the child and adult reading the books and the fun continues after you've finished reading the book as the children continue playing with the toys in the back of the book using the mat (also in the back of the book) or using their imagination. I purchased two of them, one for our grandson and one for us (grandma and grandpa) so when we Skype I'll read the book and then afterwards we play together (technology is a beautiful thing!!!). You will NOT be disappointed.

I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday. I love the sturdiness of the book, the interactive mat and play trains inside, and the story. He enjoys playing with this and I would definitely purchase other "Busy Books". I like that it has a compartment inside the book to keep all of the pieces safe too, although it needs to lay on its side so they don't fall out.
