I have foot pain caused by neurapathy and needed some relief. I read the reveiws and thought these would help with the burning sensation in my feet. Well, they do provide some relief, but only for a very short while. It suggests you not wear the socks for more than 20 minutes at a time. No worries bc the gel packs don't stay cool for 20 minutes, maybe ten minutes at best. The gel packs are thin and don't have much gel in them. Maybe if they contained more gel, perhaps they could stay cool a little longer. I will continue to use it until I can find something better. By the way, I bought the Birkenstock sandal and they provide much greater relief from foot pain, but you may still have slight burning sensation.

These socks are great! They are filled with gel packets for the top and bottom of feet that you can refrigerate or freeze and then slip into the area where you have pain. This is so much easier than a bag of ice...the gel packets stay put and exactly where you need them. I use them because I have pain in the balls of my feet and heels. I also have pain in my toe joints. I simply keep the socks and gel packets in the refrigerator so the socks are always ready to use. I recommend this product to anyone that has foot pain.

I've been suffering from fascitis plantar for a while and recently I bought this socks, which have helped me a lot to soothe the pain. You just have to let the plastic gel packs in the freezer until you need them. (I wear them daily for about 20 min, in bed, specially when I arrive from work), and they really relieve the pain and swelling. LOVE THEM!

These type of socks are all good. The big ones are less expensive and work just as well for immediate relief from painful neuropathy.

I have always had a problem with my feet swelling and getting really hot. These feel wonderful. I especially like to use them right before I go to bed but after work is great as well.

I bought these for a specific purpose - my feet were swelling up, hot and painful from neuropathy brought on by chemotherapy (Taxol), and I wanted to cool them down as well as reduce swelling so that I could wear some shoes. Elevating my feet with these socks on was very helpful in this regard. In addition, toward the end of the Taxol regime (once/week for 12 weeks), I heard that icing your feet just before and during the infusions can help prevent the drug from doing additional damage to the nerves in your feet, so I bought some heavier duty medical "booties", which lasted about 45", and, together with these socks (which last only about 20"), they were good for the entire treatment and about 20" more at the beginning. The neuropathy didn't get progressively worse after using these plus the booties, which had been the case. I also figured that "hot feet" would be relieved by these during the summer months. These were perfect for a relatively brief cool-down for these purposes (note that neuropathy in general tends to benefit from more circulation, not less, but for inflamed and swollen feet, they were very helpful). The socks have small, thin ice packs that cool the bottom and top of your foot. They run quite small, so order a larger size than you typically wear.
