Shockingly happy ..... No pun! 😄
I love this product... I have a 9year old Rotti/Shepard mix who's best asset is scaring people with his bark. However he doesn't know when not to bark. We bought this to train him. We had him wear it 24hours. Not going to lie.... The first electric shock was sad and scary. I felt horrible, he was scared and had no clue what was happening. However... That one shock... Kept him on guard. There is a beep that warns the dog to stop barking before it shocks him. So it truly taught him to not bark.We decided to have him wear it for 24 hours. The moment we got the collar. The 2nd day we only put it on him when he barked and took it off after an hour... Put it right back on him again the minute he barked again... Repeated several times. 3rd day... He barely needed it.... By the end of the week. We put it on him with out a battery... Only when guests came over. Shockingly after one week he has learned he can not bark at everything. We put it on him with out a battery now... When we leave the house and he has to go outside. I highly recommend it. Just know.... You need to pay attention to your ... Reppremand your dog for bad barking and acknowledge their good behavior. Otherwise your only using this as a torture devise and you shouldn't have a dog in the first place. Directions for set up are horrible. It took about 10 minutes to figure out. I saw bad reviews on battery life... So I bought extra batteries.... 10 for $5 bucks.... Wasted my money. The battery was good and did not need all those extras.

Do not buy this
This thing goes off for no reason at all. The instructions say that if your dog is getting electrocuted for shaking it's head or scratching, the dog has fleas. Um, no. It's just calibrated wrong. I tried literally every setting.Goes off when she shakes her head.Goes off when she chews on a bone.Goes off when she plays with her brother.Goes off when she is ASLEEP ON THE FLOOR NOT MAKING A SOUND.DOES NOT GO OFF WHEN SHE BARKS FOR 5 MINUTESSeriously you think your dog is random with the whole "lay in the corner then run up and stare at a spot on the wall for 3 minutes then start licking it and barking at it, then lay down and go to sleep" thing? Think again. This thing will start going off before your dog even can think of looking at the wall, and your dog has no idea what it did. This thing will go off when your dog is unconscious.Seriously it's like. "Dog is sleeping? Unacceptable. BEEP. BEEP. BEEEEEEPPP. ELECTROCUTE! HOW DARE YOU SLEEP!"Does this on all 5 of the sensitivity settings. This thing has multiple sensitivity settings, but only 1 shock, which cannot be felt by even the tiniest of creatures. I'm pretty sure my fish would be like, "OH, that felt good. Do it again."Don't waste your time with this product. The cheapest option is not the way to go on this one, it's a waste of a few bucks. Use it on a pack of gum, or a coffee, or getting caught up on your seriously delinquent bills you lazy lazy bum.

works amazing for a week
I am on my 5th one of these.. I leave it on my german shepherd never remove it and that is the reason I have problems. works amazing for a week. but if it gets wet or if they scratch it too often itll stop working. for me the shock mode stops working after about a week to 2 weeks and itll only beep. once she realizes its not shocking her anymore she barks like crazy again and I have to get a new one. (its not the battery I bought replacements and when I replace them it still wont shock) but it is what it is... a $7 shock collar lol so I just keep re purchasing them.

Did it quit zapping the dog or not?
Well we tried this out and found it worked, gave the warning beeps, but had a problem when the slight correction happened. Our dog went wild and started screaming which then made it go off almost continuously it seemed. Not sure if that is what was happening or if our dog just panicked that much. I do know that once I removed the collar he calmed down. Now all we have to do is hold the collar in our hands and push the buttons to adjust the correction sensitivity which makes it beep and he stops barking. Don't think I would ever put it back on him again.

Simple- Functional-Good price
for what it was intended to do- it did great.one of my dogs is a barker when it comes to neighbors ankle biter, so for the times when we are not home and unable to stop the barking exchange i needed something that would just remind her that she is not allowed to bark at neighbors dog..my dogs used to be on electric fence so "warning beep" is a familiar thing to them, so it worked great for her...She had never been corrected because usualy beep does its job, also i found that regular stores like Target, Lowes, Rite a. do not carry v6 batteries, so i had to order mine online.over all...it works.

Works perfect!
I only had to use this about 6 times on my dog and he already barks less than half what he used to. Only flaw with this is that it picks up on other noises or vibrations or something so I would not recommend using it for extended lengths of time and only use it when your dog is WITH you because it shocked my dog once while my other dog was making noise, so it basically shocked him when he did nothing wrong. BUT if you only use it when they decide to bark for too long for NO reason and only use it for a short amount of time it deffinitely gets the job done and my dog only barks when it's important mainly now. (which sometimes means because he saw a frog or something) But its under control and for that price you can't beat it.

Whole new dog
Once we got over the initial confusion as to what the clear piece was (we thought it needed to be attached somehow)...it was just a tester....we put it on the dog. It only took one shock for him to realize what the warning tone means. And I can leave my main doors open with just the screen doors shut without him barking at EVERYTHING that walks down the street.

It's okay
It works well for the price but the battery doesn't last very long. Also sometimes it will go off when it shouldn't. All and all I can't complain
