Rancho RS9000XL RS999223 Suspension Shock Absorber

The adjustment knob is vague and worse yet, it doesn't stay put. For some reason I thought it would click into each of the 9 settings but it doesn't, it sort of has discernable changes in resistance once or twice in the full dial range. I set all four of my shocks to the minimum setting at first to see how it feels and 150 miles later when I decided to dial them up I found that one had adjusted itself up to about 3/4 up and another had adjusted itself up by roughly 1/4.The shocks are very soft at 0 to 50% - like VERY very soft so the truck continues to bob a while after a big disturbance.Setting the shocks to maximum they have a little initial stiffness but still bob and jiggle like an old 70s boat. Cornering is not confident at all. I think the only good part of these is they absorb small cracks and pavement transitions pretty smoothly but it's not good enough for me to want to put up with the sloshing.I dislike these enough I'm putting my old shocks back on until I can afford to buy something else. I would not recommend Rancho RS9000XL to anybody.

We put a snowplow on our SUV and needed serious shocks with the weight of the plow. These are PERFECT! The only drawback is that they came without instructions, so we had to look up specific installation instructions off the internet.
