I moved away from my favorite art supply store and during the move my palette sponges molded, so I had to buy new ones online. This is the best price I could find, though everyone kind of gouges you on the shipping.The sponges themselves are terrific, and do exactly what they are intended for- hold just the right amount of water to keep your paints damp and workable, not runny.If you go any extended periods (these palettes have kept my paints good for over a week at a go) without working I'd recommend opening your palette up for a few minutes each day to air it out a bit, just to avoid that smell everyone complains about, but other than that you should be golden. Rinse it out between projects to avoid mold or paint build-up on the edges.

It hard to say I love it because its just a sponge, but I does the job, & does it well! When I start a new painting, & put out the paints in my pallet, they stay open until I'm finished. Admittedly , I live 10 miles off the beach, I check to make sure the sponge stays wet through the whole process, & I use a retarder. But he end result is exactly what I wanted!

Great product, terrible price. I love my sta-wet palette so much I bought a second one and wanted to have extra sponges on hand, but this refill is priced way too high for a single sponge. I didn't notice that there was only one in the package when I ordered it. I won't be buying these again through Amazon because I can buy a three-pack locally for only $8.79.

Anybody that uses acrylic paints will love this set up. The sponges stay wet and keeps your acrylic paints moist. I use Oil paint and acrylics. I have had them in the pallette for 2 weeks with no drying out. The sponges are washable and come out great. I do not dry them.

I thought these were going to be larger.

These make my acrylic paint last so much longer. It keeps the paint moist and after I finish painting. I just put my paint box in my refrigerator and the paint is fresh for my next painting session.

The Sta Wet Palette System works very well to maintain acrylic paint liquidity and workability. I have bought several different palettes for my teaching venues. They all work well as long as the sponge stays damp.
