Black Antique Bathroom Door Indicator Lock Bolt

This lock system is even more beautiful and solid than it looks in the pictures. I'm really impressed with the quality. However there were a couple of design issues I'd like to note:First, is you'll need to be sure there's enough clearance for the circular piece on the door - I made the mistake of boring a hole to place the latch side well and then realized there wasn't enough clearance for the circular piece when lined up. Some directions on what to look out for would have been nice.Secondly, the long rectangular piece (I think it's called the "spindle") was way too long for the door thickness, and I needed to use my angle grinder to cut it to size. That didn't take long once I measured it out, though - just be prepared to have to cut that.Third, it's relatively stiff - good construction, but stiff. I can't just flip it, I have to turn it because the joints are snug. Also, the grove that the latch falls into could offer a bit more space. I needed to bump out the latch (with a small plank of wood as a spacer) at exactly the right distance to be able to have that latch close easily when the door is closed.Fourth, I wish the swinging bar was longer! It would have helped to resolve the first issue with the clearance of the circular piece - or if there were different sizes available.That being said, after spending more time than I anticipated working on this, I absolutely love this lock! It's beautiful, solid, and functional, and great to know I can open it from the other side if I needed to. I would definitely buy again.
