Non-Hardening clay is fun and easy to use. Sargent Art non-hardening clay is suitable for the tiniest hands. It's very pliable.

Good general purpose clay
Good general purpose clay. It is soft and easy to work with, and can be melted and brushed on or cast into a mold. It’s soft consistency and low price lends itself to large sculpts where fine detail is not needed, but would use other firmer clays for small detailed sculpts. I have used this clay for a couple of full size head sculpts, and also have used it when making both silicone and plaster molds. Once again, its soft consistency works well for this, and makes it easy to clean off the molds. I have already bought over 30 pounds of this clay in the last two years for general purpose sculptural use.

High Quality at a Great Price
Im an art student taking a sculpting the head course, and this clay was recommended in the syllabus supply list. I am so pleased with this purchase! The clay is very easy to manage, doesnt dry out and smells like cookies! It does leave residue on your hands, this is my first experience with clay so Im unsure if this is normal for other clays too.Its great clay for great value, Ive looked at other brands like Monsterclay but its way too expensive. I totally recommend for people who are new to sculpting, students and professionals on a budget.

great value for price
Used for modeling. The clay was a little soft to my liking, so I added 2 oz. of bee's wax per lb. and it worked great.Firm yet workable after hand warmth softens it.

Great price and quality
For a larger amount of modeling clay, this does the trick for my animation class. It is plasticine, so it has oils in it and will not dry out or bake hard. I've found that Gojo waterless hand soap is excellent at getting the oils and clay off your hands. This batch arrived soft enough to work with and was great value for the money.

Model clay that is sturdy and holds it position
The clay is being used for modeling muscles and cartilage in an anatomy laboratory class. No problems so far.

Very soft
I'm making figure pieces and this clay is so soft that it doesn't even need to be heated in order to model with. That might be good for a lot of people, but I just wish they stated how soft it was in the title.

Too soft, sticky and smelly.
I can't use this clay for anything. This is not the same clay I get from Micheals or hobby lobby in Houston. This clay is too soft to work with and sticky. even my metal tools have a hard time shaping it or keeping it smooth because the softer the clay gets the sticky it is for some reason. Also the same gives me a headache. the smell is a combination of gasoline and vanilla extract. I knew the price was too good to be true and let's be honest cheap price always means cheap product. Now I'm stuck with 5 lbs of this clay.

One Right Clay, Two Wrong Clays???
I ordered 15 LBS of the Sargent Art Plastilina (ordered 3 separate 5lbs totaling 15lbs) what I received was one 5lbs Plastilina and 10.0lbs Modeling Clay as shown in the provided picture.I am not happy about this at all, why was this done and I want my missing 10.0lbs of Sargent Art Plastilina Clay ASAP or I will no longer order from AmazonLou Cordero 11/11/2019

Okay for learning, playing, and practice
Wanted a reusable clay and this one is pretty good. It’s soft but you kind of have to warm it up a bit in small bits to get it really usable and blended.I’m not entirely sure I can get finer details or smooth it out more without a lot of effort. That’s where the softness works against you. I suppose we just need the right tools, and if you are sculpting big things like heads you will probably need 10 pounds worth as well as an armature to support the plasticine. It will take a lot more practice and experimentation to find out what you can do with this. Surprisingly, I can’t find anyone using this brand doing what I’m doing. Maybe it’s better for smaller figures.

Great modeling clay that will not dry
This product has a great texture and smells really nice! Like vanilla. Left it several days in open air and will not dry. Do Not attempt to oven dry!!! I tried this and it melts into a liquidy substance!

Easy to use, soft
I like this clay. It is inexpensive but works well and holds detail well. Smells good. I can soften it easily in my hands with a little working. No need to pre-heat it, but people in warmer climates may find it too soft, and most sculptors prefer a firmer clay.
