Tapioca Pearl White (Bot Bang) Large - 14oz (3 Packs)

It is extremely difficult to find large pearl tapioca in the stores. I decided to take a chance with purchasing this product. The cost was a little high, but the texture and taste when used in a pudding was great. If you want a good large pearl tapioca, purchase this one.

This tapioca fell apart and did not keep it's round shape. I'm so disappointed. My tapioca is a mess and does not have plump tapioca pearls in it. To me, this product's quality is poor.

I was a little worried about using this after seeing previous reviews, but I found its niche. You could never use for bubble tea, BUT it makes a respectable crock pot tapioca pudding. I soaked one cup of it in water just enough to cover it for 2 hours. (It absorbed it all) I put that into a crockpot with 1 -1/4 cups sugar and 8 cups 2% milk and cooked on high for 3-1/2 hours. I then beat 4 eggs and a tablespoon of vanilla and tempered it with the tapioca mixture, mixed it in, and cooked for another 45 minutes. Pretty darn good! True that most of the big pearls don't keep their shape, but lumpy enough!

I really like it it’s fun and delicious for bubble tea.

I purchased these for making tapioca pudding. I was happy with the large (fisheye) size and with the price. However, there was an 80 - 90% breakdown of pearl structure when soaked for a much shorter than usual period of time before even cooking. These could not be used for bubble tea and were very unsatisfactory for the pudding my family loves and requested over the holidays. No idea what I will use the remaining two bags for.
