USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter, PC Multi-Monitor Video Converter for Desktop Laptop Windows 7/8/10

This was purchased as a replacement for a similar 2 way hose connector or hose Y that was purchased at our local Wal-Mart. The connector was shipped as specified and arrived before the estimated arrival date. The product itself is extremely well made and has a nice clean appearance. It has a good solid feel and there are no sharp areas because of casting. All brass surfaces are smooth and well cleaned. The brass threaded areas are clean, well cut with no rough edges or burrs. The on-off handles and faucet attachment are equally smooth and well formed. The faucet attachment has a rubber gasket already installed inside. I have used this piece now for over a month and it has performed better than expected. There has been no leaks or seepage from any areas. Turning the on-off handles are extremely smooth and both turn easily. This is a plus as other similar connectors are usually stiff and difficult to turn on or off. Also, over time, the other on-off's have become increasingly difficult to use to the point of almost needing pliers to make them turn. However, these on-offs are Teflon coated and have actually become easier to turn with use. I believe that they will, at the very least, out last all similar style on-offs and remain reasonably easy to use. My wife has really enjoyed having and using this connector. She feels it is the first one she has used that did not require some effort to turn on or off. I am very satisfied with every aspect of this hose 2 way splitter. I would encourage anybody else who wants a well made and easy to use hose 2 way splitter to purchase this particular unit.

I use this product to have a third monitor connected to my laptop for working purposes (had already one connected to the HDMI port and another connected to the mini DP port).This one is great if you don’t plan to use it for gaming or if you don’t mind a little input lag in order to have more content displayed.At the installation, my Windows PC didn’t install the drivers automatically and the drivers provided by the seller were provided in a mini CD. My laptop doesn’t have a CD drive, so I sent an email to the seller so he can send me the drivers. He responded within an hour. This is why I put 4/5 on the “Easy To Install” score, as it would be easier if we could find the URL to download the drivers inside the product box.So far, the product has worked 100% fine with around one month of daily use. It’s attached to a USB 3.0 port so I’m getting HD resolution as well. Totally recommended.

The item appears to be well constructed for the most part. The brass fitting itself is nicely made and the screw attachment to the spigot is easy to use. However, the actual valve gates are made of what appears to be nylon. During the winter one of the valves became very stiff and wouldn't fully close or open. The actual head of the handle is quite small but made larger with a silicone rubber cover, but when the valve becomes sticky this cover makes it difficult to apply pressure because it has no rigidity. The valve appeared to have unseated somewhat so I tried to re-seat it and then turn the valve back and forth with some pliers. The gate seemed to be moving with a lag from the handle like it was made in 2 pieces. The top of the valve then snapped off, so this thing is junk after only a few uses. On top of that, the bore holes are very small and flow is reduced by 15-20% - enough to be annoying. Although, the valves move smoothly when they are working, I think the handles are unnecessarily small and the rubber cover is too flexible.

Worked for connecting my laptop to a monitor

I am an avid gardener. I have a large parcel and have hose bibs in several locations with dual hoses. I have tried different 2 way connectors and although some of them lasted a very long time, they were difficult for me to turn on and off. I found myself leaving a pair of flat nosed pliers at each of the bibs so I could turn them on and off. First this one has dual sided turning knobs (double wing) not single. Second they are rubber covered so much easier on my fingers. They have only been installed for a couple of months so the life of the product is yet to be discovered. So far, I can use them without the need for the pliers. Marla Coughtry
