AmedaFlexshield Aereola Stimulator

I did need this reducing flange for my pump. I feel more comfortable using some lanolin cream instead of olive oil with this product.

I bought this attachment for my pump as I am small-busted and thought it would help the flanges fit better. It did- and was very comfortable for pumping. HOWEVER- it greatly reduces the suction and thusly the pumping output. I was getting half as much milk using this, I had to take it off and continue pumping without it to drain my breasts. I would have returned it if it wasn't a health hazard.

I have been using these for about two weeks, and have noticed a small increase in the amount I can pump. They reduce the size of the flange to 21 mm, which works nicely for me - but I find that I need to apply a small amount of nipple butter before using these or I sometimes chafe. I pump with these for 10 minutes, then without them for ten minutes, and I sometimes get twice as much as I used to in 25 minutes of pumping without them. Usually it's about 30-50% more, which helps!!

I bought this thinking I would rather a soft shield on my breast pump horns, and I tried this thing on multiple occasions, just to be let down (and not in the way you want while breastfeeding lol). This serves mo purpose and decreases my output while pumping, just stick to the normal horns!

Great product! I'm using this with my second child and have noticed a big difference in comfort. The silicone molds to your areola and nipple, much like your baby. You'll notice that you need more suction to have the same 'feel', but infact you don't. I barely feel suction and make just as much if not 1-2oz more milk with each pump. Pumping is not suppose to hurt, when it does you tense up and your let down will stop - therefore no milk! It fits great inside my medela standard size flange.

I bought this product thinking it was a set of two like most other breast pump supplies. Which other sellars of this same product offer for a similar price. I was wrong, when I received the package I thought it had been damaged during shipping due to the box being mangled. The stimulator fell out of the box and I noticed there was only one....especially when the box says set of two! I immediately contacted the company to report the damage and the missing stimulator only to be informed that I only paid for one. Really? So the practice is to open the box of two take out one and send it? What did the other person get theirs in? I was so dissatisfied and annoyed, being a new mom trying to get the art of pumping , that they wouldn't send another one (even at a discount) due to the misunderstanding on my part and the false packaging on their part. My only option was to return, after several emails, which I would have to pay for and was almost half the original price....avoid the hassle and shop from a different buyer.

I had a terrible time pumping the first couple weeks I tried without these and had given up from the pain it was causing. After these I haven't had any pain from the pump and I have been filling more ounces faster. These should come standard with every pump. I was worried about the fact that this is the extra small flange, I know I'm not in the extra small category but based on the description of fit the standard is huge for me, whereas this is just right.

At the time of purchase, this was the only listing that came up when I was searching for the Ameda Flexishield, so I bought it thinking it usually comes with only 1 Flexishiled; HOWEVER, after having received it & it not working as good as the 22.5mm flange insert that I already had (Flexishield is 21mm), I tried to research more on it & I came to find other sellers that sold the SAME product for the SAME price - not for just 1 Flexishield, but for 2 Flexishields. Why this seller only sells 1? I have no idea, but I highly recommend you search for sellers that offer this product in a pack of 2 for the same price before settling on this one.*Flexishield 21mm suction wasn't as efficient as 22.5mm flange*Color of product did not come as shown in picture. Instead of being clear, it was more yellow, which made me feel like the product was old, but I don't know if other Ameda Flexishields are the same color? I would hope they would look exactly as shown in the picture advertised.
