Hello, Crabby!: An Acorn Book (A Crabby Book #1)

Great book for my 6 year old who will be heading into first grade. Funny story with great illustrations. He can’t wait to get more books about Crabby!!

Love these Acorn books! We first discovered them at a Scholastic Book Fair at school and they are the only books that my daughter actually enjoys reading! Highly recommend! We are buying all the ones we don't have yet.

Funny stuff and great for expanding the readings skills of my son.

I just picked this title up at a Scholastic warehouse sale. It's tiny, 7" x 5 1/2", full color, and hilarious. Even though it's a beginning reader it begs to be read aloud. All the characters are sea creatures: Barnacle, Plankton, and, of course, Crabby, who is definitely a crabby crab. (Clam, shrimp, and several not crabby crabs make brief appearances.) The three stories cover 46 pages and are just right for beginning readers. The fantastic expressions on Crabby's face along with his verbal outbursts are a perfect mix. I would love to see this in a hardcover edition for reading aloud to preschool through second grade. Two more Crabby books are due out in July and November of this year. Yeah!

My son is 7 years old and loves this book! I think what he loves most is the humor this book has with crabby being so crabby. We will definitely be back! for more books once written.
