Excellent value and fast heat-up
This soldering iron is excellent. I recommend skipping the finest point tip, but the next largest one was perfect for tiny led soldering needs. I don't understand why so many manufacturers have seaprat parts for the iron holder and the control base. Why? And why can't they be attached together? I might just use some double-sided tape to connect them together permanently, but it would be so easy to have a slide-on connector. I docked a star for that reason. Less parts is better. Also, they taped the sponge to the base with tape that is too strong. No tape is needed. The sponge should be loose. I assume they did that for shipping, but no tape would be better so the sponge is not damaged pulling it off to wet it the first time. I like the quick temperature setting buttons. I've found the 750 degree button is best for regular lead-based solder even though it theoretically melts at 370 degrees. It gets hot in about a minute. Plenty fast. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend hundreds for something only slightly better.

Fantastic Value
I have always been a Weller Fan, but my son needed some soldering done on his High School Physics project. For just a little more than a cheap soldering iron, I was able to get a fully managed soldering station. When you turn it on, it only takes about 30 seconds to fully heat up. I have 2 different rolls of solder which require different temperatures to barely melt, and the HoLife soldering station provides real time feedback about temperature control. When you wipe off the tip on the sponge, you immediately see the temperature dip and come back up within seconds. I am very satisfied with the purchase so far!

Heats up very fast, easy temp adjust, -- but not sure about replacement tips???
My 30w Weller soldering iron takes about 5 minutes to heat up, this one is less than 1/2 that much time. It has 1 degree up or down controls. I like it in that I can solder delicate electronics with precise temperature control.I'd give it 5 stars if it were clear how to order replacement tips. I've searched, cannot find any info on the product page nor can I find a website which lists this brand of replacement tips. It does come with 3 additional tips, however. But I'm concerned that I'll have to toss this out eventually if I cannot find a source of replacement tips. The soldering iron holder that comes with it, is a bit on the cheap side, plastic and lightweight. However, I've recommended a better one below.I strongly recommend this timer to accompany your soldering iron purchase (no matter which one you purchase -- it ensures you won't forget to turn it off)... I've recently purchased the one below, seems like it works well, easy to use:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D3QEK4E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I'd recommend this soldering iron station as a holder (it's all metal, heavy, well made, have used it for a couple years:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W57XHLP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1And also strongly recommend this tip tinner:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NS4J6BY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's not bad..
Ok, I really wanted to give this 5 stars because of all the stuff you get. However the first time I used it, It would not melt the soldering unless I put the temp at 720. Which was so hot that the solder would pop and hit my hand or arm. After a while the tip turned black, so I got some tip tinning to re-tin the tip which worked and now I can set the temp at 520 and it works great. I wish the Soldering Iron stand was attached or at least have suction cups, it moves to much when I am trying to put the iron back. All in all it not that bad, for the price.

Could be better
I have been soldering (electronics engineer) for 50+ years and thus have owned many soldering irons. I purchased this unit to replace an old one of many years due to not being able to obtain tips for it anymore. What I have found with this soldering iron is that the tips are of low quality and need to be excessively cleaned before the solder will 'tin' the tip. I have had to use 'acid' based flux (yes I still have some) to enable the solder to stick without working at it for a length of time and wasting a lot of solder (lead based solder at that - I have not tried lead free). I would suggest adding enough room for a steel wool type cleaning unit (not a wet sponge). I also found that getting the tips on and off can be a bit of a chore - tight fit. I worry that folks could break the ceramic.Maintaining temperature is good, heats up fairly quickly and I understand the use of the long tip shaft to facilitate low temperature drift (cooling) when soldering. One of the reasons I did buy this iron was the metal ring (plate) of the heating element giving greater strength to the soldering wand. Most soldering irons use plastic on plastic threads with strip out very quickly or become loose easily. My experience with them is glue'm. :-)The only major complaint is the tip quality otherwise a good soldering iron.

Wonderful soldering station.
I was surprised to see how quickly this station heats up and how well it works. I've had all the big name stations in the past and this is equally as good as any of them. It seems quite durable but if it breaks down in the next few years I'll buy it again.
