This testclip set comes with a high quality Pomona 5250 SOIC8 testclip. It has much better contact with on board SOIC chip.It provides a connection between an on-board surface mount device SOIC8 IC and programmer. So that to program the chip on board. The cable length is adjustable amount 40cm and 60cm with the included extension cable. It can be any length with extra extension cable.It also can be used for any other onboard test, data log and measurement etc.

A must have for reading and writing immobilizer chips while mounted. Worked great as a companion to the GQ-4X programmer.

this clip is useless
The chip end of the clip has a lot more plastic molding on it than is necessary.It makes it very difficult to get the clip onto a chip on a tightly laid out board. Plus,the molding around the base of the pins makes it difficult for the clip's pins to makereliable contact.I tried trimming the plastic away from the end of the clip and that helps, but it justdoesn't work very well.I think mini - easy hooks work might work better - I am gong to try this. This thingis a waste of money.
