I'll start off that i don't like wearing shin guards and only do it because it's mandatory at the league i play. These are very lightweight and don't need long socks to be used. after 6 months the elastic on it loosening a bit and now i need to use the sock to hold it in position (not the case in the beginning).

I like these so much better than other styles. My soccer player would agree. Just pull them on.

I bought them to use them on a foilboard to protect my legs from the abrasive and grippy deck pad. They are lightweight and do the job. They also fit well. They don't offer the kind of protection you would get from harder shin guards, but for lighter applications they are fine.

Bought these for my diabetic husband to do yard work. His legs very sensitive to getting cut. They worked great! Much easier than bandaging.

I got it for my kids for soccer, they are in travel team. Kids love this shin guards, it's easier to put on, light etc. However yesterday my son and another player (who had hard shin quard) collide shin to shin on a high speed (they both are fast players). As a result, my son end up in the ED with injured leg (not broken but with bad pain, and can't walk) out of school/soccer for a week and it also cost us a game. Anyway, just keep in mind, it's not bad but for powerful collision it's not good.
