Ingenious Design for A Camera Strap
This is a marvelous design for a camera strap. I use it to replace the somewhat less than desired supplied strap on my Fuji X-mount camera (the neck strap is a bit too inflexible and not all that comfortable to wear). This Op/Tech strap is designed to be worn over one shoulder (like one might carry a mail travel sack), with the thicker part of the strap on the shoulder itself. The remainder of the strap lays diagonally down the body as it descends to the waste. But the think that makes this different is that there is a small camera attachment (detachable) which can actually slide up and down the main strap. This means that, once you've connected the camera, you can let it dangle at the bottom of the strap (near your waste), and even keep a hand on the camera, if you wish. Then, when you want to take a shot, you just lift the camera, and it slides up the main strap, and the weight of the camera is somewhat absorbed by this connection. You can actually easily slide the camera up and down the main strap at will. The main effect of this approach is that the camera can be lifted and dropped without ever detaching the strap from the neck or shoulder, and the camera remains securely attached to your body in either the shooting or the released (at waist) position. It's a fantastic design, executed with a good quality device that is also more than reasonable in price. (There are also additional parts that the company sells that extend the functionality of the strap, if desired.) Five stars.

Amazing Digital Camera Sling!
I’ve been looking for a shoulder sling for my Kodak FZ45 PixPro, not a neck sling which is easy to find. The issue with the Kodak is that there is only one spot to put a lanyard as opposed to other cameras that have two. This sling is perfect for this camera, it’s thin enough to look casual but strong enough that it doesn’t feel cheap. The clip off feature is so useful so I can just hold my camera if I don’t want to use the sling. Another great feature is that I can use my camera by sliding it on the sling without me having to unclip from the sling, also there is an additional “stopper” on the sling so that when it hangs on your side it doesn’t fly around while walking. Amazing amazing sling I can’t recommend it enough.

Good strap, far better than original
I never even bothered to put the original neck strap on my NEX-6, but instead used a different strap with hook connectors and hung that around my neck. I didn't like the way it distributed the weight, especially with the 55-210 lens attached. When I came across this strap (after much searching), I thought it would fit the bill for a better solution. It does: the neoprene is comfortable, and the cross-body strap is much better at securing the camera against the body than an over-the-neck strap. I removed the metal triangles from the posts (just unclip them, using a jewelers' screwdriver or something to pry them off) and threaded the nylon loop through the right-hand side loop. It fit through the hole in the loop with no need to use a cheater thread. I like pretty much everything about this sling strap. The only issue I have with the strap is that when adjusted to fit my body it tends to rise up when I raise the camera to my eye. This is caused by the connector tugging against the sling, and seems unavoidable. The effect of this is to move the neoprene against my chin (or worse, my throat), leading to a very uncomfortable feeling like I am being strangled. I am experimenting with moving the neoprene back or forward on my shoulder, and think I've come up with a reasonable compromise. But I think that is a design effect of these particular kinds of straps. In the end, this is the strap I wanted. I think it's going to come in very handy on travel shoots.

This Strap Just Works - Good Stuff!
Works as expected. If you are looking for "pro-level" fluidity of movement, then go straight to the over-priced-but-super-pro-gear. If however, you are looking for reasonably-priced gear that just works (with a little "fiddling"), this is the slim strap for you. Over a year later, plastic clips and strap are almost like brand-new (not brittle). I am not a professional photographer and don't use my camera every day - YMMV. That being said, this compact sling is the perfect size for my Fuji X100S. This sling handles the weight of that camera just fine. It looks too thin for the weight of my X100S, but I've never had a problem. Good construction. Reliable. I would feel confident using this to secure my camera if I was hanging off of a bridge, or the wire fences at the tourist-level of the Empire State Building. Main difference between this and a "pro" slim strap beyond the price is the plastic clip vs. a metal mount and clip seen on pro gear. Plastic just doesn't glide like metal over the nylon strap, but otherwise this strap is a great deal, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Nice idea, but could be better
A couple of things about this strap, which I've only used a few times so far. 1) the shoulder strap is neoprene and quite large. This isn't a strap you're going to just stuff into your little case if you wanted to. Even a pocket would be a challenge. 2) the strap should have the option to have TWO slides so the camera can be supported on both sides if it has two lugs (like with a normal neck strap). I am using it with a Sony RX100 ii and find that while the single slide works ok, the camera just bounces around on its tether without having the second lug also on a slide. So I added one the camera's own connection tethers and used a small key ring to connect that side of the camera to the strap. So now the camera rides close, yet can easily slide up when you need to use it. For me, and for this camera, which has the dual lugs for a neck strap, this works better. But, it works.

I already have the Op Tech wrist strap and neck strap for my mirrorless camera, and while I like the wrist strap the neck strap seemed awkward, so I splashed out on the sling. Once you have adjusted the sling to a comfortable length the camera hangs comfortably when not in use, and can be readily raised when you want to use it; the clip slides easily along the sling, allowing the camera to be used for waist-level or eye-level shots, and there is a slider on the sling which can be used to restrict the range of movement if required. At first it seemed a bit insecure, with all the weight on one clip*, but the sling is rated to 2.5 lbs (1.1g) which is much more than my G6 weighs even with a long lens, and in practice it seems strong enough. Also, since the sling works well for me regardless of whether it is connected to the left-hand or right-hand lug on the camera, it is possible to have both the wrist strap and sling attached at the same time - making for safer change-over from one to the other when out and about. I can see the sling being the strap I normally use when out walking and want both hands free, with the neck strap retired to very occasional use. (* the wrist strap also uses just one clip, but here it is the back-up rather than the primary support, as one would normally be holding the camera rather than letting it dangle. With the sling though, the idea is that the camera will hang by your hip, say, where it can easily be grabbed when you want to use it.)

For small devices eg small camera. I am using for a cell fone. Strap is not too thick. Wide range of adjustable strap length. Can wear it around the neck or over a shoulder. Smart feature with a adjustable stop to prevent device from sliding too far toward the back when wearing strap over the shoulder position. Neoprene shoulder pad is a quality touch . Optech USA makes smart and well designed products.
