Coppola Datterini, Baby Plum Tomatoes 400g (Pack of 12)

I have tried all type of tinned cherry tomatoes available in UK and possible this is the best I have tried so far, the datterini is one of the best cherry tomato available and even tinned they still far better quality, really impressed with the flavor, yes the price including delivery is bit high compare to what`s available in shop, but worth every penny a real treat for anyone after quality and not quantity.

These tomatoes taste great, but as they are not peeled the skin is quite tough. Doesn’t matter if you are using them in a pulverised sauce, but there are advantages. Taking one into the mouth and “ bursting “ it gives a flavour explosion but be prepared to filter out the skin.

Maybe they are on the expensive side (compared to supermarket brands) but the quality of the product is great. The firm texture (not pulpy), delicious flavour and vibrant colour make these tomatoes a favourite for spaghetti Bolognese, lasagne, ratatouille... Very tasty.

Excellent flavour. Bought these as couldn’t get hold of larger size plum tomatoes. Take longer to disintegrate in casseroles but otherwise brilliant.

I kept reading about these tomatoes in recipes so decided to buy them. I’m really pleased they are worth the extra money!

I've just opened the first tin Coppola Datterini Baby plum tomatoes and I am so disappointed. I was expecting a sweet tomato flavour, but these are not sweet! The liquid is fairly thick with a nice consistency but not sweet. I shall go back to my usual brand of Napolina.Also, all the tins are dented, because there was nothing placed between each tin in the carton, and as a consequence they just banged together.

Tomate datterini de excelente calidad, sabor, textura y punto de maduración excelente. He cocinado con él y es super rico y sin exceso de acidez a partir de ahora imprescindible en mis guisos.

Les tomates ne sont pas acide le gout est très agréable, pratique pour une sauce tomate minute , La peau des tomates est un peu dure ce qui protège aussi le fruit naturellement - la contenance est bien et la texture parfaite

Ich verwende sehr häufig Dosentomaten in meiner Küche. Diese hier sind sehr geschmackvoll und eignen sich für alle Pasta Gerichte wo man nicht gerade mit frischen Tomaten kochen muss. Gute Konsistenz.
