Work well with portable TV good sound although charge doesn't appear to last long

The big selling point for me is the versatility of this speaker. The fact that it can play music from a variety of sources - my iPod connects, as do my old sd cards and of course, Bluetooth connection to my phone and therefore streamed music. I have a big collection of music on all these sources, so it is important to me that I can play these otherwise hard to find tracks on as many devices as possible. This small but versatile unit copes with all of these admirably, as well as allowing me to take hands free calls from my mobile.But is the sound quality good? Well, I would say it is certainly adequate. For such a small unit it delivers a powerful enough sound. It is far from hi fi quality... but then that is missing the point of a unit such as this. This is intended as a small, portable travel speaker to match up with whatever device you are carrying with you on holidays, days out, etc. , and not as a major listening experience. It has a wide range of sound - instrumentation is clear, bass is as intended ( why does everyone seem to want heavy bass that drowns out the rest of the sound?) and volume is loud enough to provide a soundtrack to your holiday without annoying others nearby too much. The speaker is very light too, so easy to pop into your suitcase or bag without a problem. It looks good too, and seems remarkably sturdy and tough.I can't say how this particular speaker compares to other similar products as I have not really heard any others, but I will be happy to take this one on any journey as it is a fuss-free and useful item for anyone who likes to have their music with them.

This isn’t a smart Bluetooth speaker. It connects easily and maintains a good sound and maintains connection. It comes in minimal packaging and is good value for money. My teenage daughter has claimed it and used it in her room.

NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL! didn’t even test it, it fell off the side of the hot tub in the water and instantly died. This is advertised as a hot tub accessory and being waterproof. Closer inspection seems it couldn’t even be splash proof. Shame as other wise sound quality etc was good.

I managed to connect my phone to this no problem. This impresses me straightaway as I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to doing that sort of thing, so basically what I am saying if I can do it then anyone can do it then anyone can do it. The sound is great and very clear. The speaker is not too heavy and would easy to pack in a case . It is a smart black and has easy to use buttons .

Like many speakers of its kind, you get what you pay for. Around the £30 mark gives you a solid bluetooth speaker that works, but it's never going to be the impeccable quality of a branded bluetooth speaker like a Bose or a JBL.It connects easy, simply turn on, wait for the blue flashing light, and find it in your phone or iPod. It also comes with an auxillary cable so you can wire plug in, and a standard micro USB charger - no wall socket adapter though, so you'll need to source that yourself.Battery is good, as you'd expect. Lasts enough for watching about 2 whole films or around 8 hours of continuous play. These imported speakers rarely have quality batteries and can deteriorate fast with poor charging techniques (let it fully drain before recharging) so I can't imagine it will last long, as in, over a year, but if you're only using it for occasional use then it will be fine.Sound quality is good. It's a speaker. It amplifies the sound well and preserves the tones; slightly muddy if you go properly in to the sound quality, but for most people who aren't after precision sound, it's good enough. Not tinny or broken, it sounds alright.Looks wise, it's a sleek black speaker, relatively heavy duty, with branding on the front - luckily the company is called BassPal which isn't too chinglish to look that bad. I'm not massively a fan of how big the branding is, but it's fine enough for a lower-end speaker.Overall, it's a no-frills bluetooth speaker that works well and sounds good.

This small, neat speaker packs a punch well above it’s weight. It was so easy to set up and pairs with virtually everything you could want, as it has an auxiliary lead as well as Bluetooth. The sound is fantastic, which I may regret as my son commandeered it as soon as he heard it and his taste in music is not mine....... I can recommend this, the Bluetooth range is good too, so very pleased all round.

It is not the largest speaker in the world but it seriously punches above its weight. This has excellent sound quality. The top end is crisp and clear and the bass is surprisingly good for such a small speaker. It looks good and doesn't take up a huge amount of space making it easily portable. It connected to devices very quickly. Nothing to fault here - if you need a good speaker in a small package you have to compromise less with this one that with others. Recommended
