PROFOLIO 14x17 Acid-Neutral Art Portfolio with Customizable Cover, Black, 24 Two-Sided Clear Sleeves

I purchased these portfolios in different sizes, from 8.5 by 11 (for 8 x 10s) to 18 by 24. They are very sleek and very professional looking. The insertion of photos or poster was very smooth. The binding feels strong as they seem to be ready to hold on even the largest (18 by 24 in my case) securely for long. Opening and flipping through the pages is as expected and the plastic sleeves inside do not feel cheap or brittle. The 18 by 24s are big and become heavy fast. They need to be 100% flat. I placed one of mine on 2 bar stools and the slight bend in the middle made a sleeve or two separate at the outside edge. Smaller ones do not have this consideration. The outside covers are luster finish and sleek enough that some of my acrylic paint splatter on them and I was able to remove with my fingernails. I recommend this product and the price is attractive and fair. Lastly, some of the smaller sized ones have a plastic sleeve (thicker plastic than the regular pages) in the inside of the front cover. I use these to slip in one metal (not metallic, but aluminum) print per book. This would puncture the regular sleeve if I had placed it inside like any other picture.

Sturdy cover , good quality clear sheets with acid free paper to preserve art work. Wish they had one slightly smaller in a 12 x 15 size.

I finally have something that organizes my paintings for teaching classes and holds resources. What a great feeling!

I feel a little guilty for taking off a star becausw the value for price is excellent and these seem like they will work pretty perfectly for my purposes, but I have to caution anyone who will be using these to show their portfolios in a very professional, snobby setting that the plastic sleeves do accumulate little pock/crinkle marks as you slide work in and out. (I am pretty gentle and careful with my work too, so the fact that this happened in spite of my gentle handling is a bit of a bummer.) I thought the cat must have attacked the pages when I wasn't looking until I realized they were showing up near the top of most of the sleeves I had slid work in/out of...But they are excellent other than that tiny detail! Very clear, seem sturdy, able to hold several pieces of paper in each sleeve if needed, pages turn pretty nicely. Love them for keeping my inventory of large prints.

The clear plastic, at the bottom of the binder, was broken when I received it. As much as I'm going to be using it, I know it's going to end up splitting the whole way...I have the option to get a refund and send the portfolio back, however, the price is higher now than it was when I bought it. I'm not being offered a replacement, only a refund, which will make me have to spend more money. How is that right? I guess I'm stuck with a damaged item.I'm rating it as five stars because the portfolio, itself, is great.

These portfolios work great for my watercolor pics. I needed a bigger size and ordered this one.
