This is my favorite Step Brother Romance! I have re-read this on 2x already- something I don't usually do!
Update: 11/4/2016 This is my favorite stepbrother romance I have ever read!!!! I originally borrowed this by Kindle Unlimited but I had to buy my own copy. There is some cheating (no married cheating) but there is an equality to the cheating so it isn't like one person is innocently hurt by one-sided cheating. Sometimes True Loves are with people who aren't right for them and it takes some mistakes to figure that out. I just read it for the third time and I love it so I wanted to make sure I had my own copy and that Violet Blaze gets some credit for this sexy, satisfying read. I don't usually re-read romances...this one just leaves me happy!!!!!Original Review:Violet Blaze tells a good story. There was some odd phrasing and a few incorrect word choices but those were inconsequential when compared to the flow, pain and pleasure of this angst-filled slow burning romance.I love how the sub genre "stepbrother romance" (and "bad boy romance") sounds so trashy and cheesy but yet serves as a setting to deal with more complex issues. This is a lighter read than some other bad boy/step romance because the dark secrets are normal issues that people face (unlike "secret baby"/shifter/mafia/billionaire/bdsm/pathological jealously issues). I appreciate that. Here the hero is gorgeous sexy pierced stepbrother who is a tattoo artist and owns his own shop. Why does it have to be more complicated than that? (Multiple piercings in interesting places...*winks.*)I see Violet Blaze's next book has about 5 sub genre descriptors in its title, so again, I love how this is just a simple, sweet and hot stepbro/ bad boy "True-Love" romance which could happen in the real world!

Stepbrother Inked
I would give this a 4.5 if I could. This was sooooo good! The struggle got a bit much for me. I also had a hard time with how the family dynamics played out, had no clue it was that much of a struggle. This had so much emotional twists. Definitely a serious read. Well done!

Angsty, Gritty, and Super Sexy.
I’ve read Stepbrother Inked three times now, and I think it’s one of my favorite books in the stepbrother romance trope. I’m usually a fan of CM Stunich’s (aka Violet Blaze) writing style, and this book was no exception. The plot flows flawlessly, and the prose is the perfect balance of clever turns of phrase and relevant pop-culture slang. The dialogue is witty and realistic, and the characters (both primary and secondary) are well-rounded and believable. They maybe are not always likable, but I think that’s a good part of WHY I liked them. Stepbrother Inked had everything I look for in a taboo forbidden romance: angst, steam, suspense, and good dose of desperation and/or obsession. There is even a great female friendship, which I am a HUGE sucker for, so that gave it a big boost, as well. I blazed through it, and for these reasons I’m giving it five stars. (But trigger warning- this book DOES contain indisputable cheating and OW/OM conflicts)Abigail and Florian’s parents have been married since she was 4 and he was 8. For all intents and purposes, they are siblings, but they’ve never seen each other as such. Not even a little bit. With the exception of one kiss in high school, Abi and Flor have never acted on their mutual attraction. In fact, they do everything they can to fight it, until Abi finally decides she can no longer hide her feelings. The book is single POV from Abi’s perspective, so we get to understand her feelings first. Abi’s love for Florian is all-consuming and unconditional. In fact, you could even call it desperate and obsessive, and I really liked that. Abi is desperately in love with her stepbrother, but she’s the first person to admit that her obsession is unhealthy. It’s this character self-awareness that really amped up the taboo factor for me. Abi knows she shouldn’t want Flor, and she tries to fight it, but she’s ultimately helpless against her feelings. It creates so much angst, especially when we learn that Flor’s feelings are similar, so that when they finally get together, it’s a gritty, angsty, emotional explosion of steamy hotness. Like, I just wanted to heave a sigh of relief for them, because they were finally getting what they had been longing for, but I couldn’t do that because I knew things were going to get worse before Abi and Flor got their HEA.And boy do things get worse. The drama is delicious, and it isn’t unrealistic or over-the-top. And I also really appreciated that even though Abi is obsessively head-over-heels for Florian, she doesn’t just roll over and take it when he tries to shut her out and treat her like crap. Abigail knows what she wants, she knows what Florian wants, and she goes for it while refusing to take any of Florian’s junk. And even when Florian is acting like a huge jerkwad, you can’t help but feel for him, because you know he’s dealing with a SERIOUSLY DIFFICULT internal struggle (i.e. being in love with his stepsister). In the end, the HEA is hard-fought and worth it. The characters are battered and bruised, but better in the long run, and I absolutely love Florian and Abigail together. The book was super angsty, the taboo factor was crafted deliciously, and the steam scenes were off the charts. Stepbrother Inked is a book that has stuck with me, and Florian and Abigail are two of the most memorable step-siblings-turned-lovers I’ve read to date. It gets five stars from me, and a big recommendation if you like your forbidden romances to be angsty, gritty, and super sexy. And also if you love cat-saving tattooed bad boys with big hearts, because FLORIAN HARPER RILEY, ladies and gentlemen.

Good Story
The story was good, but the female main character was extremely aggravating. The crying jags, and melting at any touch from the lead male character was just tiresome. All in all it was okay for a quick read.

loved it
Absolutely loved this story and especially the fmc and her best friend. The love story between the step-siblings is slow burn yet there is so much tension between them, that every simple moment of interaction ist tensed up.Definitely recommend this one!

I've lost count how many times I've read this
And I love it every time, there's so much heartache and anxiety and so much love and good stuff too, I wish there was more of Flor and Abi.

Amazing
