Great item for some Erlen's Disordered learners! 3 colors in the pack stop the words from moving while one of my students read. The same for another. One kiddo's anxiety about reading seems to be reducing. Pace and decoding is faster for both and works well on a computer also. (Be leary of taping!! I taped one of those thick metal paper clips with bendable sides to the computer, so my fellas can use the computer without it further damaging the overlays.) I gave themm one for their general class, one for homework, and one kept with me. They feel special to have something so simple help. It allows more independence. I like the tiny color labels at the bottom in case I want to order more of one color. Care instructions are included (are individually wrapped) sheets. As a free gift, a reading strip was given.Only problem, I see 40 Special Education Elementary needs based kids (!!!!!) and there aren't bulk packages for a bit of a discount for teachers (hint, hint).

This product might just help someone with dyslexia, particularly the "Aqua" color.

Easy to use. Multiple shades of colors to choose from. Has two different surfaces: glare and non-glare sides. Covers the full page of a letter size paper.

These overlays are not as high quality as the official IRLEN brand sheets, but they still work very well. They come in a variety of colors, and have one glossy side and one diffuse side, so you can choose your ideal level of light-reflection (some people like less glare, some people work better with more). However, be gentle with them, because these sheets also scratch very easily.

1.0 out of 5 stars Has permanent printed sentence on each overlay in middle of overlay "Remove clear protective film before use" which is a hinderance to reading.This product has a permanently printed message right in the centre of each overlay "Remove clear protective film before use." After removing the clear film the message is not actually on the protective film but on the actual overlays. These overlays are falsely advertised as the images do not show this message and the description does not state this either and therefore they are not fit for their advertised purpose. Also the films arrived with a dent damage mark which had gone through all the overlays right in the centre - the packaging of the order was poor for the dent to have occurred. Should have been packaged sandwiched between two thick, strong pieces of cardboard to protect item. Will be returning item for a full refund.

A simple and effective way of helping children overcome reading difficulties without being too invasive.

The overlays were delivered quickly and as desceibed. However, the protective film was almost impossible to remove. I ended up scratching the corner of the aqua and bending the corner of the yellow until I found a sewing needle. Top tip: buy a pack of needles too, so that you can stick it through the film and lift it. If the lettering is the right way up, the film is on the side you can touch.A little piece of paper between the fim and the overylay or paper attached to the the film to pull the film or the film lifted in one corner would be a massive improvement. It really doesn't need to be as hard as it is.
