Really delicious
We often brewers in a 2 L water kettle because it really doesn’t leave residues or stains and it makes my life so much easier just to throw in 2 tablespoons of this roasted barley and just hit the on buttonBuying bulk is a real big money saver as I told my son since he drank all of his mom‘s barley tea and teabags he had to replace it, and we noticed that the teabags were only around 200 g compared to this bag which was much larger it’s like saving Four times the amount over teabags maybe moreI highly recommend this product that taste wonderful. It has a nice color caramel style to it and it’s just absolutely a 24 hour day for us.We like to add a little bit of coffee creamer in it also it makes it more fun

Good
Makes a tasty tea. You can get this much more cheaply in an Asian grocery. Even cheaper is buying plain pearl barley and toasting your own.

Makes a great hot or cold non-caffeinated tasty beverage
Barley tea used to be and perhaps still is traditionally served as a free beverage in Korean coffeeshops. If you buy a cup of coffee, you could also get unlimited cups of barley tea, or bori-cha. It is particularly refreshing if you make it and serve it as an iced "tea" beverage. It is caffeine free and has a pleasant roasted grain taste.

Great alternative to caffeinated beverages
When I had to give up caffeine, I almost gave up the ghost. Decaffeinated teas and coffees just remind me I can't have the real thing, and most naturally caffeine-free herbal alternatives don’t fulfill the warm, savory notes I crave. I've dropped an inordinate amount of cash trying to find something satisfying. Roasted barley is one of my new favs.I steep the grains whole for mellow hot tea with toasted flavor. For more intense flavor I coarse grind the grains and brew them overnight in my cold brew coffee pitcher so I have a concentrate handy to make a quick glass of it over ice. I also use a French press (regular coffee maker would work fine) with a ratio of 14:1 tablespoons ground barley to chicory. With chicory, it tastes just like coffee—somewhere between Arabica and Robusta in flavor. Adjusting the amount of chicory makes it more or less strong, dark, and bitter.Something to consider—I’m new to using roasted barley, so I don’t have much to compare this particular brand to, but I’m really happy with it and the price seems reasonable by weight compared with other brands.

Why does this taste like fish?
I have had a lot of barley tea before, and I love it. But this brand literally tastes like fish. I would know, I worked on a sushi-grade fish farm for 3 years, I know what fish tastes like. It tastes like fresh fish though, if that makes anyone feel better. Still not a very taste-bud appealing tea.
