the batteries were a bit fidly to put in, but once in the torch is good

Good light, poor batteries.
One flashlight was received with corroded batteries and would not work. Luckily I was able to remove the batteries and clean the flashlight, install new batteries. The unit is working fine so far.

Love It!!!
This light has it all covered. Just as bright as the manufacturer claims, rugged, and priced perfectly. With tons of friends in the Law Enforcement world I've seen flashlights just like this one cost 10 times as much, and not offer half the performance. The etched grip makes it easy to handle in wet or slick conditions. It's balanced well so it doesn't feel heavy in the front or back. It comes with cheap chinese batteries that I used for an entire season before switching to a solid set of Duracells. Small enough for anywhere: glovebox, backpack, or belt. Truly, this is one of my favorite flashlights I've ever owned.
