4 steps under platform ladder

This ladder is sweet! Pretty easy install if your not using a composite backing like I did. The 4 step is the way to go. Super sturdy ladder and locks into place when unfolded down.

This is a nice ladder. We had it installed under our swim platform. Slides out easily.

I've not used it yet and in the middle of installing. The small foot print and stainless strength is nice. I needed 11" between the first and second rail and this fit the bill. Well kind of. The ladder sticks out about 4" from the front of the mounting bracket. And It would become something to hit shins on and catch clothing as getting in and out of boat. So I purchased 2 stainless flat to mount to boat and mount the ladder to the flats. Hope that works. The 4 steps extend down from the boat on trailer and almost touch the ground so it should be a decent length. Steps seems to glide in and out of frame easy enough. And the collapsing ladder seems nice. I'll update if anything changes during use. I originally bought one of those 5 step aluminum ladder it was so large and awkward and didn't hang correctly when extended. And just looked like it would break quickly.

This is harder to install then I thought. Atleast with my pontoon you have to mount some wood 1 1/2 inches thick so the ladder can come out and clear front aluminum frame of the pontoon. You also have a terrible time screwing the stainless screws in because the holes are so close to the edge your drill can't reach it. I tried drilling some more holes farther away from the edge but stainless is hard to drill thru. It didn't come with mounting instructions so learn from mistake. Take the ladder completely off the mount. Then the part that mounts to the bottom of your pontoon is easier to mount. I'm still tweaking this and have a couple hours into it. I have stripped 2 stainless bolts. So I plan on going with something that I can use a ratchet extension with. It would be so much easier if they had the holes drilled away from the angled edge. Maybe use a hex head instead of phillips soft stainless screws.

Ladder was good but the screws were not good quality. I had to get self tapping bolts to install better.

Works great on the front of my pontoon. Very sturdy.

It works great for my hanging bunkbed.

Not my favorite. Had a heck of a time trying to make it fit to our pontoon boat. The steps are a pain to push in and pull out to use, in fact only my husband has the strength to do it. Once its down in the water it serves it purpose but I'm not a fan of the narrow steps and being someone with hip problems, no handrails was also a downer for me. I'll be looking for something more practical for our use, but I did like that it stores under the boat so it wasn't always in the way.

Ladder is light weight, but should work ok. Could use a better storage clasp.
