Great amp for a great price.
At first i thought it's only 1600 x 2 and that it would support my speakers or that it might not be able to amplify my music but it proved me wrong. This is a great amp, sounds real good and worked with my speakers and tweeters. I really don't have a major setup but my speakers and tweeters are more than what the amp distributes making it so that the amp does not burn out the speakers. It still sounds awesome and i have had any problems. The amp is small, has simple connections and the look of it, give it a great shinny silver color that looks nice in the trunk setup. Overall, item is great and should be considered, plus i recommend it.

Works Great
This amplifier powers my two subs just fine, they catch all the frequencies like a champ, and makes them really kick. Boss Audio make one thing well Amplifiers, they do have a tendency to overheat, but that mainly when they are bridged. Every other boss product is garbage. I would highly recommend this to someone putting together a system on a budget. The only thing that sucks is the adjustable bass remote nob does nothing, but you don't need it when you have a good headunit.

Alot of BOOM for your buck.
For the price I couldn't beat this amp. I have used Boss in the past and I think they are the best value as far as amps for. I pushed two JL W0 12" subs and it pushed the great. The bass control remote has great control unlike others I had used before. The size of the map was pretty small considering the amount of power it pushed, so I don't know what those who say it was big are talking about. Overall, Boss has earned my business and I will probably continue using their products. highly recommend.

Not what I expected
I don't think it's what I payed for. The watts this thing pushes is no where near 1600. I would guess 1000 or so. I had a 520watt on my 2 15" soundstream Picassos and it sounded pretty good. This "1600" watt amp is much better. But no where near what I expected. Plus the control knob didn't work. I wasted an hour tearing my dash apart to install it where I wanted it. But it's defiantly worth the price but I recommend spending 30-40$ more to get a better one.

Not bad for the price
The amp ran my 2 12 inch Skar subs that were 500 watt RMS each, but would go into protect mode if I turned the Bass Boost over halfway. Wouldn't blow a fuse or anything but I know it's the amp because I bought a similar amp from Skar and it pushes the subs way harder and never shuts down. Maybe this amp gets too hot, not sure. My recommendation is to spend the extra $75 and buy a better amp.

Will make your car shake with the right subs
Great product I bought two 10in subs and needed more power and boy has this thing delivered. It gives me all the power I need for both subs and I can adjust almost anything I want from sound quality to just some strait base if I want. Great amp if you are just getting into this stuff easy set up and connections, and great for breaking in subs. Overall I would recommend this if you want to turn some heads while you drive.

Overheats and overrated rms power
I'll start with the good -The amp has a metal body and looks good -It seems to play my 800w rms @2ohm subs at the same volume and quality as the amp I replaced it with(amp gain matched with multimeter) -It's a 2 channel amp, which is nice if you have to connect 2 pairs of wires, it's also bridgeable otherwise -It comes with a bass knob -It's cheap Now with the bad -First the screwhole ports for mounting ground and power cables are too small for typical 4 gauge ring connectors(the plastic dividers limit space) -This is an A/B amp has two 25A fuses, which means it can only output roughly to 500 watts, which explains the next con -This amp has major overheating issues, it can usually run my subs for 25 minutes before it shuts off to protect itself, it then restarts 5 mins later.(power source tested and solid ground points) For context the amp was used in Texas during this summer with weeks of over 95F days and 85F nights, it occurred either way despite the amp being exposed to the cabin A/C in my car. I listen to bass heavy music but clearly the 800w rms @2ohm x2 channel rated amp can't even handle my 400w rms @2ohm x2 subs for half an hour. -Amp dyno tests on a similar amp (BOSS 1500w Monoblock) reveal that their 1125w RMS mono amp couldn't output a measly 300w rms and even went into protect mode at 251w. So with this amp at only 100w rms more than that I'd hate to see what it actually outputs. In conclusion the amp is severely overrated in power, will overheat and shut off after 20 minutes of use and will probably damage your speakers through clipping. I recommend getting the Pioneer GM-D9601 over this if your speakers match or are under 1200w rms, a dyno test shows that it matches the claimed 1200 rms output with 1700w peak, it doesn't overheat like the Boss Audio and it's only $170. So for $100 more you can save your speakers from clipping damage and get top performance from your subs.

This little sucker packs a punch. I bought it to finish off a friends system and I ended up keeping it for myself. The power rating is max however. RMS is quite a bit lower. Its still a beast for how big it is. Thinking i wil buy the next level up for a bit more power as my speakers will take 1500 RMS.
