I don't have very aggressive chewers but the rubber is strong and durable. I did have to cut the 4 nubs on one end smaller so I could fit milk bones into it. The nubs were so strong I couldn't shove a milk bone in. I use this in my puppies kennel when I leave to keep her busy. The hole in a kong is so big that treats fall right out and doesn't keep my puppy occupied long. Because the nubs on the ends of this toy are so strong this keeps her busy for a long time trying to get milk bones out. When I first purchased it the milk bones would be in here for up to 24 hours. Now she's figured out how to get them out quicker but still keeps her busy for some time.

We had the Kong Original for a while and our pointing lab puppy loved it filled with peanut butter. It is a really nice way to keep her occupied for a while and a great kennel treat. So we thought we would try the two styles of Kong genius, she loves them also. We call them "the baby sitters" and she plays with them for hours. We tried the Kong brand treats to put in them and though she likes them we didn't (the salmon ones reek and the whole room stunk as she played with a kong stuffed with them) we just stuff them with four or five Iams puppy milk bones now (big yellow box, alot cheaper too) and a couple Bil-Jac small liver treats. She is six months old now incredibly smart even for a hunting dog and still loves them and it's fun to watch her and her two techniques for getting treats from them, she never seems as restless when we get home to let her out of the kennel with them as she is with raw hide bones etc. I would highly recommend both styles and for you lab owners six months and she hasn't even chewed her bed or anything more important.Update 2/3/2012 She still loves them, the one with the bottle shape is her favorite indoor fetch toy

On time and not damaged

This arrived and within an hour looked like this. We have many other Kong toys that have endured hours of chewing without failing. I’m hoping that there’s no bowel obstruction or emergency vet visit in our future.

Got this to put greenies in because my dog eats her greenies too fast. The toy does well until she chews it down and then it gets stuck in the toy, which is expected. This toy has lasted a long time and she only just started to chew some pieces off. Holds up over time for hard chewer.

Kong is the ONLY brand my puppy is not able to chew through. This one is particularly great because it stimulates his mind too. Love it!

KONG GENIUS MIKE DOG TOYWe've been stocking up on new toys since we added a Hurricane Maria rescued puppy to our family. His name is Diego and he is a Whippet/Heinz 57 mix. He has a big sister, a five year old lovely and delicate flower Greyhound, Kisser. He seems to believe that EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in our house is his and his alone -- hey, wake up Diego!!!Anyway, this is the new favorite toy. We purchased other KONGs and they like those, but they LOVE this one. We will not be putting treats into the ends -- which you can do to enhance their fun and chewing pleasure. These two mutts are perfectly happy chewing on the KONG, throwing it around, rolling it across the floors. They love it. It is sturdy. It is tough. It is KONG.This particular KONG is large and is recommended for dogs 15 to 40 pounds. You may also purchase other KONG Genius toys and connect them for added challenges for your babies. There is an illustration of this on the package.KONGs are made in the USA and that's what I like. This puzzle/treat toy is fun for all. It's funny to watch puppy boy Diego walk around with this hanging out of his mouth sideways and it's fun to see Kisser gently chewing and gnawing on it.If this KONG can stand up to shark-like puppy teeth and great big huge Greyhound teeth, it can withstand just about anything. A good product; we are satisfied. I think we will purchase another one so there are two of these KONGs to fight over --

This is great for my chocolate lab. We give him a 1/4c of his kibble in this so it keeps him busy. He typically eats all his food in 10 seconds so having some of his kibble in this toy slows him down and tires him out.

Love this toy for my pet Aussie Shepard ~ long play periods of challenge to get the treats without having them scatter all over the floor. He is jaw-strong and this toy provides long durability of. Responsible owners will watch for fatigue on the toy and change it out at least 6 to 8 months as the rubber will show signs of cracking. The ends take the most wear and tear, and they too need to be checked for fatigue at the posts. Best toy I order it over and over again.

This is my go to toy for my Dachshund as she is a strong chewer. Treats fit great and keeps her busy. More importantly they are USA made so they are safe!

I have a 9 year old German Shepherd & she absolutely loves her "Kong" and it usually last from one Christmas to next, so great value!!
