Baking with Kim-Joy: Cute and Creative Bakes to Make You Smile Hardcover – September 3, 2019

Kim Joy was/is the most artistic baker on Great British Baking Show. This book is excellent showing little details and how to make yummy beautiful cookies in your own home. Thank you Kim JoySusan Joy

Kim Joy was one of my favorite bakers of all the Great British Baking or Bake Off shows. This book has a nice variety and plenty of pictures. I like how she gives you a cake recipe and then sends you to other pages to choose your frosting and others for decorations. So it's her recipes but you can mix and match. I am a beginner baker and I chose an intermediate cake and still pretty much pulled it off. I mean it wasn't as gorgeous as her cakes but pretty good for a beginner. I recommend it.Please excuse the imperfections- yes the meringues cracked but they tasted great! A lot of flaws but again from an inexperienced baker, I was proud of this. :-) I used her rainbow cake recipe (well got 5 layers out of it- was supposed to have 6 but one got oversoaked with drizzle and broke), Italian Buttercream Frosting, Meringue recipe for clouds and store bought sugar paste for the cats and rainbow which were described in her design in the book. The frosting "sky" look was also described there in how to do it.

Kim-Joy is, of course, one of my all time favorite contestants on Great British Bake Off. So I was happy to buy her book to support her. What I didn’t know is how much I would love it!There are plenty of delicious recipes... but more than that, she goes into detail about how to create her delightful signature style. But even more than *that*, somehow she still manages to cultivate our own creativity and help us find our own style. As you can see from my two pictures, I started with a good idea of what to do thanks to her. But then I took it in my own direction.This is a perfect book for a novice baker or an experienced baker. And more than anything, this is a perfect book for anyone that wants help to make their bakes to look good.I can’t recommend this book highly enough!

After watching The Great British Bake Off show with my daughters, I decided to have a Kim Joy Christmas and bought all 4 of her books; one for my each of my 2 daughters, and step-daughter & granddaughter to bake together, and finally... just had to have 1 for myself!!! Highly recommend for gift giving... SO colorful, wonderful photos, and can't wait to try them all... someday... but having fun reading/looking nowadays!!!

Baking is so much fun! I always liked baking occasionally, but this book just makes me want to bake more and more. The recipes are easy to follow and the creations just bring a smile to my face. I also really like that the recipes aren’t overly sweet. It’s just enough. She also have a you tube channel which showcases some of the recipes.I’m not going to lie... Kim joy makes it look like a breeze making the bakes look cute.... my first go at the pigfiteroles... they look so creepy. It looks like they are a cult chanting “one of us” over and over again. I added a photo of them to give you a good laugh. The second go wasnt as creepy. They are of the two pigs on a red top. Plus I added photos of my mini versions of the ginger pecan salted caramel ( mini cakes)/ spiced carrot and walnut cake (bars) and the macarons (I didn’t making them cute).

We watched Kim-Joy on the Great British Baking Show. Her designs were unbelievable. I got her book for my son's birthday. We both loved it. The photos are outstanding. The recipes are easy to follow but neither of us has the equipment nor the artistic ability to make her designs. But it was a delightful read anyway.

It's an amazing book! I just wish there were more actual recipes as opposed to just decorating ideas!

Another great cookbook from her. Great hints, easy recipes. Anyone can make her fun bakes.
