Digitally remastered two CD containing a trio of albums from the Soul/Pop vocalist: Inseparable (1975), Natalie (1976) and Unpredictable (1977). This package features amongst others 'This Will Be', 'Inseparable' and 'I've Got Love on My Mind', all US single hits, whilst 'Sophisticated Lady' and the former were all US R&B #1s. BGO.

Only way to get all of Natalie's first three albums on CD as of today, unfortunately.
Gotta hand it to UK-based BGO, they don't mess around when it comes to reissuing long-neglected artist catalogs like Natalie Cole's early Capitol work for example. This 2-CD set not only features her first three solo albums in their entirety ('Inseparable' and 'Natalie' on Disc 1; 'Unpredictable' on Disc 2), the remastering is excellent and the liner notes are professionally done as is the usual BGO custom. To those who are unfamiliar with the daughter of the late, great Nat "King" Cole himself, you REALLY need to get this while there are still brand new copies floating around on sites like this one. Renowned Australian reissue label Raven also came out with a 2-for-1 CD featuring Natalie's 'Inseparable' and 'Unpredictable' albums, but the BGO set is the only one I found that was able to include her 'Natalie' sophomore album on CD for the first time ANYWHERE. Now I gotta wonder, which label currently has her Capitol album masters and why have they been so slow to reissue them properly on CD? Don't they know what a major disservice they're doing to her sizable fan base as well as her entire music legacy in general by carrying on in this manner!?!?!? Sheesh, and you wonder why the industry itself is literally on life support right now...

The Princess of Soul!
Soulful, majestic and absolutely spellbinding! Queen Aretha passed on "I've Got Love On My Mind" and Princess Natalie took it to the top of the charts and also secured a first Platinum album in The States. This woman's work on Capitol Records (from 1975-1979) was BRILLIANT! It was kinda cool that she came along in the Franklin vocal tradition and shook ReRe's queendom for a spell. ReRe needed an ego check ANYWAY, so kudos to Chuck, Marvin and Miss Natalie for unseating her. Besides, you can't be the queen forEVER. The music on this CD twofer is only the tip of the iceberg as to what would follow in the form of four more Gold and one more Platinum album on Capitol Records.

Natalie's debut is a WOW
I bought this album the year it was released and loved it right off. Natalie hit the ground running and her mix of ballads, R&B hits and infectious melodies were terrific. The new few years would be tough...the drugs, the soon-to-be ex-husband who controlled her career and her music, etc. But, she emerged from the 80s as a put-together woman still making great music.Buy her debut and hear her in the early years of her career. You'll know why she had staying power and what made her so great. And she's still great -- her last CD, "Leavin'" -- A+. You go, Natalie!

Natalie Cole, Marvin Yancy, and Chuck Jackson (I think I have her collaborators right) had some really magical chemistry. Timeless music here.

I already knew I would love this CD....
I had these CDs on vinyl back in the 1970s. I bought this CD to replace the first two Natalie Cole albums I had. It has been like a dream to be able to listen to all the songs again, and still remember the words. This was a good price, and they are quality recordings - in fact they sound better than they did on vinyl (especially with the scratches my albums got on them). These will remain my two favorite Natalie Cole CDs to date.

This (Lady) Will Be Remembered!
Natalie has joined her father, Whitney, Luther, Michael, Donna, Esther, and so many other stars of music who are gone too soon. We're lucky that she has left a treasure chest of musical gems, such as this 3 LP/2 CD compilation, which feature the recordings that introduced the world to Natalie's talent and a string of early hits: This Will Be, Mr Melody, Catching Hell, I've Got Love on My Mind, I Can't Say No, Party Lights, Inseparable and more. She really was a sophisticated lady of song, but very human too. Rest in peace and love.
